re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Today I got see the raging bull! Lamborghini, it was.

What was unfortunate that the car came out from the factory as an Hyundai Accent. I could not help myself and went around the to see the car closely.

I had never seen rectangular (square?) shaped steering wheels and my wish was fulfilled.

Not visible in the pictures were motorised antenna, nice video screens, shining alloys and free flow exhaust, may be lot more. I should have rejoiced after seeing this car but somehow I could not bear the terrible punishment this car was bearing.

This one could also make it to the weird stickers thread too!
Notice the 'TURBO TECHNOLOGY' on the hood, just above the grill.

The 'Auto Xplod' sticker on the back of the Lamborghini Accent is an understatement. Looks more like an Auto Nuclear disaster. It looks set to decimate everything in it's path.

And to top it off, the car's actually an Accent Viva. Used to be a decent looking car in it's hey day.

Wow is that a fire extingusher on the front side of the bonnet.

Great ideas, the on road people can help me doze the fire off in case of some turbo boost gone wrong.

The Zen fellow must have recently redone his home. Whatever extra fittings remained, went straight into the car. Good cost savings. He must be a Manager in some company. LOL.

Actually they were surplus flush mounted ceiling lights for his flat. or even worse he must be a architect and got these lights from the manufecturer as samples and instead of approving and returning them he went ahead and used them on his car. They too work on 12 volt system with a step down transformer provision from 220v AC to 12 Volts DC.
Instead of returning them to the electrical shop, he got an great idea (Typical Yeh Mera India) of using them on his car. These lights were fixed by himself or at a road side w/shop without aiming the light throw on the road, actually they will blinding the driver of on coming traffic.

These are Home LED lights, which is more likely emits very less light and comes with a choke. This is not the first car I am seeing with such stupid mods, I have seen them on Bikes as well

Right, it looks like a dent, but that's the location of the original boot lock of the Viva.

Dosent look bad but for the "bling" factor, probably inspired by the original JEEP.

Give him a break guys. He wanted LED DRL's for his car and did not want to spend thousands of rupees. At least he did not try to copy the DRL's on German cars. Maybe he is testing some new DRL's designed by some Indo Chinese Company.Imagine dual function DRL's which can switch over to function as Headlamps.
