This is pretty commom in Chennai. I have seen puny cars like A-star sporting a bullbar and a flag post with some political party's flag. I was unable to picture that as the owner was nearby and i was sure he would have some political influence which scares me.

Voila- comes in DC with this creation pegged at supposedly 18 Lac rupees.
18 Lac for this? and a chennai based businessman wanted this with 18 lac? he could have gifted a Fortuner for his child why this Unfortunate thing any ways Nano cannot become a E smart car even after spending that money. I have a relative in chennai who works for a big shot and he spent 20 lac on modifying Innova, and his Merc is on the way getting DC job.

There was a story on the car and the owner a while back in Mathrubhoomi, a popular daily in Kerala. The owner convinced the idiot from the newspaper that this was a Ferrari, and the paper ran the story and called it a Ferrai in the title! I think I saw it on Tbhp a while back. It was here on Carnet.

Can someone guess the donor car.
Sorry, but only 2 pics. Next time I pass the road will try and take side view and front view also.
I have seen this car lying at the same spot for 2-3 years now.
That was actually one of the better looking cars that DC created. It was based on the Maruti 1000. Initially, the front end looked like a 1000, but it was later redesigned. It was red first and then a really nice green.

Forget the lights. Its the skull which is the killer of them all. If I was him, I would have put 2 lights within the eye sockets as well

He could have even taken off the headlights and put 2 big-sized skulls instead and have the light come through the skull's eyes

It rather looks like a big magnet - attracting all the bits and pieces of metal which just come and stick to its body!

And those handle bars are towel hangers…
From this angle itself I could see 16 bars.Everything put together might exceed 32 bars.

Logic might be to have handle bars equivalent to the number of teeth the owner has.

Who knows you will find them sparkling like diwali lights. I he would have electric car and all electricity would be used to light up bulbs, how would he drive? So batteries for lights and Diesel for drive :-)

Superb comments by all. Real funny ride. See the light on the bonnet facing skyward. Probably to herald his arrival to all around like circus lights.

The funny part is while opening the bonnet some lights are bound to get thrown off. From the towel rods mounted all around the vehicle it appears that he runs a sanitary shop and the non-moving ones are made to move along with the vehicle.
