I wouldn't call this an all out modification of the dear beetle, nor is this the original rear engine type (I think those were the true beetles!), but whatever has been done to this car (the colour, the skirtings, and the delicious OZ's) is really whack! This car was done up for OZ Racing's 35th Anniversary.

And here is the original linky:

Godspeed,

Alok

heres a unique attempt...

a new beetle with a few tweaks we all remember from the original...namely headlights/taillights, top mounted indicators, horngrilles, chrome trim and bumpers, early style numberplate light, split window rear tint etc...nicely executed, though somehow it doesnt work for me...

Amasing work done on the car! I know what you felt when you said, "nicely executed, though somehow it doesnt work for me...", but you have to admit, it does give that old world charm to the new beetle. It's heart may not be in the same place anymore, but atleast this chap tried his best to get back the feeling one felt when they saw its grandad!

If only he got rid of those decals. They such an eyesore!

Godspeed,

Alok

The Swift's shape allows it to have many wacky paintjobs. And the above one is just a tip of the iceberg I think.

Just so you guys know....Its a soap box racer....probably a much quicker little critter with no motor in it in the right situation......than some of the cars that have one in them...

The placement of stickers that you are talking about is probably the second best place to put one.....in terms of motor racing....what he decides to put there is his problem....there is some real garbage out there which is much worse livery than this.....

give the guy some credit and some thought boys....
