Modded Amby

Guys, Check this Amby out..This was reported couple of months back in the vehicle column of the local news papers in Kerala, .so I'm not blacking out the number plates.

Details:
2003 Ambassador is stretched to four and a half feet extra to make his Limo .?
2000cc Izuzu Engine is used in it.
Front grill and logo is ofcourse of a Lincoln Continental.
Mahindra Scorpios head lights and Honda Citys tail lamps replaced the Ambassadors front and back.
Body was built by Parekh Body Builders, Mumbai and Rs. 17 lakhs was spend on this project

The cielo looks decently done. I think the exterior is well execited . Doesnt belong here ..

The stretched Amby wouldnt have looked bad if the front was not modded and the stretched part was also painted white.

The yellow cielo was done by a man called Kurian from kottayan, Kerala. According to me, except for the front, the rest of the car is ok. he's done soome good jobs on certain cars, but a 'T top ,part convertible cielo' certainly deservs to be here!!!! lemme see if i can get the pix!!!

The Amby wouldnt have looked as bad as it looks now if the extended portions were also painted in body color.

Question is why did the person spend so much on an Amby... why not spend that money on getting himself a better car at that range?

The yellow cielo had a bumper wider than the wide body kit itself, made it look like Daffy Duck's bill, paintjob was nice, but headlamps again look quite odd, the owner spend so much , so he could have got some imported headlamps, would have changed the whole look of the car, if you notice the headlamps below the fiberglass headlamp mould , it's the stock Cielo lamps which looked very bad and dusty in person.
The rear bumper design does not go with the front at all, poles apart, the grooves made for the exhausts behinhd are soooo big, and the exhaust pipes so puny. It looked out of proportion to me. There is a lot of difference between making a design go well on a car and picking up few designs off the internet and acomodating it into any car. The side profile is nice and the rims too go pretty well with the car.

the Swift owner was going for the Golf GTI look. The Ambo limo is quite cool but could have used a white paint job for the rear 3/4's.

Because it is a car worth spending money on. There is a certain bhp-ian whose Amby rocks the hell out of the maxi modded cars anywhere. Only thing is that one should be able to tell which ones are the real McCoy.
