Wonder what road visibility he gets with that. or perhaps he likes to drive in reverse. The spoiler would definitely help with that. :P

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Meanwhile in another part of the world I found this mini Chevy with this spoiler which proves that the obsession for awkward spoilers is wide spread .

cheers,
pdma.

IMO, the spoiler on the Chevy looks quite decent and is well suited to the car. Also, the Safari with the yellow paint does not look all that bad. You need guts to carry off something like that and stand out from the crowd.

The spoiler on the Accent literally had me rolling on the floor laughing. What was the owner thinking?

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

I think, the Accent's owner believes too much in symmetry, cuz the same spoiler can be seen at the back of the car too.

Or, his thought process must be like: after all it is a "Ferrari Accent", so in order to keep the car stuck to the road it needs two spoilers. One is just too mainstream.

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Hi folks! Today I went to Vipul Motors Showroom at Sector 63 Noida to understand how to use the spare wheel in the Ertiga and to ask for the VIN number. Over there I saw this poorly done Swift. I mean after scaring people with Swift RS, what was the point to make us all re-visit the horror once again ?

So a guy pays 10 Lacs to DC to ruin his jeep and he does not even get some decent looking alloys in the deal? Such a rip off !

During my childhood days my father used to take us to the circus - I think it was called 'Jumbo circus'. I vividly remember the garish coloured jeep which they had which used to do rounds inside the "maut ka kuan" or 'well of death'. That jeep too had modifications which made it look one of a kind and quite suited the attire worn by the clowns. Richie - your post reminds me of such childhood memories and ' jumbo circus' - thank you Richie and thank you DC :-)

Doubtful if they refer it to as "Urban". No mention on the site whatsoever. Moreover, a news article explains the breakup of 10 lacs pricetag. Customer can selectively choose exterior, interior, alloys etc.. Ugly exterior is yours for just 6 lacs..

Not sure whether this has been posted earlier. Look closely and you will notice some one actually modified their car to look like it was upside down.

Not whacky but wierd for sure.

I clicked this picture as I was waiting for the traffic to clear. In the opposite lane was an APSRTC "super luxury" bus which was heading towards the depot after ferrying passengers in "super luxury" from one Hi tech city to another hi tech city. Notice the weird and wacky 'jugaad' wiper :-)

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Saw one matte red S Class with black grills in Old Airport Rd Bangalore yesterday. I went ahead of it and waited to take a snap. But couldn't find it again. But then came this Swift with windcatchers on both sides.

Even though in the pic it doesn't look prominent(since it's from behind) it's 4-5 slats were wide open to the wind flowing through the sides of the car. The holes are open only in the front so it just offers so much drag and does nothing useful AFAIK.
