The registration itself reads Pap, i.e. Sin. Its a sin to do something like this to the original Maruti 800. I am terribly pained.:deadhorse

Thank God there aren't pictures of the interior. I see a golden steering too! Never knew Carlsson did such things! A waste of such a quality machine! :Frustrati

There's always that guy at the party who takes the joke too far, and at this year's Geneva Motor Show that role falls on the shoulders of the German tuners at Carlsson with its CS50 Versailles. It has created a customized Mercedes-Benz S-Class covered in thousands of dollars of gold leaf.

Carlsson claims that the CS50 is inspired by the famed Palace of Versailles in France, but it is being marketed to extremely wealthy buyers in China. The company claims that it has already found 10 buyers of a planned 25-car production run for these golden amusements (as far as we know, none of them are Mike Myers wearing hot pants).

The exterior alone takes over 200 man-hours for each car to fit the new body kit and cover it with 1,000 sheets of gold leaf, which is then sealed in clear coat to keep it in place. The wheels are polished to a mirror finish in reference to the Versailles' Hall of Mirrors.

Of course, the gold continues inside with an additional 100 man-hours to cover 278 parts, including many buttons, knobs, air vents and speaker grilles, with more gold leaf. Carlsson claims the interior alone has 12,000 euros ($16,480) in gold. It also refits the interior with matching champagne-colored Nappa leather.
Carlsson's CS50 Versailles is gold-plated S-Class excess

Quality of work seems top notch and lovely alloys too:thumbs up. Going by the wheelbase, the car seems to be an Accord or some D-segment car. I kinda liked the design and it sure appears to be an OEM job to a person ignorant of the capabilities of DC clap:.

Hi all, Such nicely done Maruti 800 spoiled by one small mistake from mods own country.

Looking at the side doors, seems to be a sumo.

Its a Scorpio. The upper half of the doors, water drain line (?), steering, front windshield, angle of A-Pillar all shows that.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this pic. Saw this "additional security" device on a Bajaj Pulsar yesterday. :D

A cross between a Swift n Cruze n Civic. Keep the comments flowing.

Hi mate, I really liked the mods done on this Swift. Front profile is much sharper than the OEM. Even on the tbhp facebook page people have liked the concept. As far as the body color goes; In my view hatchbacks look good with bright shades.

Seeing the rear profile, I feel instead of the Civic tail-lamps the Mini Cooper tail-lamps or even the Honda Brio tail-lamps would have looked better.

Even the body kit used on it is good but the overall finished product could have been better if a little more attention was paid by the owner towards fitting and finishing. Overall, the efforts are good and the car adapts itself to the interesting new front profile very well.

Thanks

Was the original car a zen?
