Hi ,
I need to know if it's possible to add after market head rest for the 5th occupant on the second row. Do we get such accessory ? I have a grand i10 and I am in Mumbai. Thanks in advance.
Any car decor shop, upholstery shop should be able to do. They would cut the seat foam and weld brackets.

Hi
i find that several cars, especially Hyundai Verna recently have integrated headrests upto even the top variant (here Asta) and on the top optional variant (asta optional), hyundai has packed all premium features and in some cars very important features too which for me are basic ones (like the rear washer wiper and Rear Seat Adjustable Headrest).
I just hate these so called integrated head rests, they are not at all useful, let alone ergonomic, but simply a visual / aesthetic disaster in the cabin.
You mention that any decor shop does this. Do you know or recommend any one in bangalore? I would like to put a Rear Seat Adjustable Headrest that is slim and folded (that bends at a angle over the seat ) and not the one that appears plump and with no aesthetic shape..

Hi Rajesh,
A lot of car decor shops in J.C. road do it. I picked some arbitrary shop called "New Cars" and I regret for that, they did a shabby job. Thankfully, a local guy next to my house "Blue Cars" at Attibele helped restore it the way I wanted.
My Advice:
- Pick a head rest that goes well with front head rests so they don't appear odd.
- You may order OEM head rests from Genuine accessories shops. For example, the folded head rests are usually found in Ford vehicles, you may try to source them directly from spares.
- If you need some contacts in Bangalore, you may call
Imperial seat covers and check if they can arrange some one to do it for you.
Is this a safe/advisable mod for cars without the headrest for the rear centre seat?
Has anyone here done it?
Is it possible and safe to add headrests as an accessory to the back bench seat? The i10 model I am planning to buy does not have rear headrests. Strange but true ..
