Sports exhaust for a diesel

Hey guys,

after having driven N_Cs ikon, im hooked by the way it sounds...seriously sexy!

now i also want one in my crdi, i had once asked the guy at motosport in bandra abt a sports exhaust, he said its no use putting it on a diesel as it will get clogged...is that true?!?!

basically im looking for jus the change in the sound, no performance increase required, but the performance shudnt go down either.
HELP.

Drifter,

Theoretically it seems possible and would improve the breathing..thus performance...of the engine. However, I have yet to see one in any diesel from around the world.

fitting a free flow on a diesel car is not a big job and i agree with gto it will definitely give some gain in power and efficiency but the main point is diesels are not made to be revved or raced and noise is the biggest prob in a diesel, and to hear the sound of a freeflow one needs to rev the engine beyond 5k rpms and u can do that in diesels as they lose their balance there, try the k&n filter in ur crdi.
