I love that pedestrian horn tone it really does sound so polite and I think it is quite relevant. I usually don’t honk but I’ve been in many instances where I’ve had to. The last time I felt really bad about using the regular horn was when I was passing a bike with a cute couple on it and they ended up drifting into my way mid conversation. I just dabbed the horn to warn them but being a quiet day and the fact that I was driving my forester back then with its absolutely silent at cruising speed boxer motor, they got so startled they almost fell off their bike and started cursing at me. I mean I felt sorry for them but what could I have done they were about to drift into my car.
