What is the name of the font used in IND plates?
I intend to use it in Photoshop so that I can edit the number plate in my car's photo and write my name in caps instead of the number. How cool is that! |
There are many. If you search on google, you will get a lot of free fonts with various minor differences. The closest I have seen is 'Licence plate' which is similar to the normal IND plate font.
A rare dealership that provides sexy number-plates. Have seen this style & font on a lot of Pune BMWs (including those of BHPians).
Very classy:
My new safari Storme gets German font :)
Reason: it's loud and legible
PS: That's my kwid 1.0 with the same font plate. I feel white cars with German font with the boundary box looks cool.
I recently got speedex (font 2) plates with the frames from Movell license plates website, so voted for the same.
However, given another chance (my next car) I would choose speedex font 1 simply because it is larger than font 2.
Movell did not have the option for speedex font 1 so had to settle for font 2.
*No IND plates till Karnataka state formally approves and identifies the vendor for HSRP plates.

I love that font! I once bought a BMW from Bavaria when the price was at par with Infinity motors just cause I wanted that number plate stupid:
I haven’t seen this font at regular number plate shops

Hi, did you order these online? Would you mind mentioning where from and how much including the frames? They look great by the way!

Thank you.
Here's the link for contact details for the number plates.
Speedex Font
Regarding the frames, Amazon.in is what I got them from.
Has anyone bought and used Gel number plates? Orbiz has these and seems nice in pictures, but quite expensive
So after reading about them here, I order a set of plates each for my car and bike from Orbiz. Called them up after placing the order and was informed that the bike plates with Euro font would be shipped from Bangalore and would arrive in 2 days while the car one with F1 font would be shipped from Kerala. True to their words the bike plates came in 2 days and the Car ones came another couple of days later. The quality of plates are top notch, the frames could be better. Overall, I am a satisfied customer and would recommend Orbiz.

Would you mind letting us know how the F1 font plates are in terms of quality and finish? Also, how do the frames fit on to the car i.e. using existing holes on the bumper? Is it possible to fit the plates directly onto the bumper without frames?

The quality is good but lot of my friends didn't like the F1 font itself. There are multiple holes in the frame back panel and you can use any that align with the existing holes to fix them. The plates themselves do not have any holes pre-drilled. You'd have to either drill holes or use double sided tape to fix them without the frame.
Good number plates add to the personality of a car; equally, a bad plate KILLS it.
What was the owner of this car thinking? :Frustrati:Frustrati
