Had ordered from Cars-equipment. They however cancelled the order as the wheel was not in stock.

So placed an order with Skodadop and its finally shipped and on its way. Eagerly waiting for the parcel and the car, both due anytime in the coming week.

Nice mods, Akshay. Just relocated from Gurgaon and regretting not having seen this thread earlier. Have been to Autopsyche to enable a few features on my 2011 Ambiente and agree on the quality on work.

Need a quick info - how did you manage to get rid of the bulb error post the LED replacements?

Tx,
Sanju

Hey Artem,
no bro. I was all set to get the rims and tyres changed, but thought of upgrading the speaker system and get the ECU remapped. The latter is DONE, all 4 speakers and 4 tweeters and my music sounds freaking awesome(Focal IS165VW). The ECU remap will take a few month before they figure it out.
I will definately get the rims changed, once I have some money to spare ;-)

Congratulations dude, that sounds awesome. Let me know about the ECU remap once you're done with it. I want to desperately get the Alloys up to 17" but am finding it a bit hard to get MOMO's/ Wolfrace or any similar Alloys in Pune.

Guys if anyone is aware of a good Alloy Dealer in Pune please post the details.

Thanks

Artem

Re: My Skoda Octavia...with some modifications

Hi Akshay, great mods! the car looks brilliant with the black out, I have a question and please excuse me if it's repeated. I searched on Vagtune and other websites and can't figure out how to get a camera in my octavia's system. I have a 1.4 ambition, but I think the system is the same. Also, do you or anyone know if I can retrofit front parking sensors? I'd really appreciate all the help! thanks!

Zee-bat: thanks .... To retrofit the reverse camera you will need to shell out about 40k. There is a dynavin unit available at VagTune( under navigation on their site) and the camera is the one that will fit the Vento. I suggest u call Surgesh at VagTune , or if your in delhiNCR go straight to autosyche . They will do all the ordering and fitment if you decide to spend the money. Personally I feel if you or anyone travels to Europe to order the Columbus II for the car

Re: My Skoda Octavia...with some modifications

Thanks for the detailed explanation man, I think I'll go for Columbus then, but I hope this didn't void your warranty. I asked the service guys and they said retrofitting these things voids the warranty

As per my understanding, a plug and play system does not void any warrenty. Its when you cut the electrical wiring, that they have issues. Check on this

Can you tell me if these are the same speakers you upgraded to :

http://www.amazon.in/Focal-IS165VW-F.../dp/B00II1214G

Was there any issue taking of the door pads etc, airbag sensors and many electronics in the door.
Is there a drastic improvement in sound quality.
Also any ECU remap?
Thanks!

Hi buddy, those are not the ones. I will get you the serial number(don't remember it now). There is a MAJOR difference in sound. The sound bump is only felt when you play via bluetooth via IOS or Android. If you play via the SD card or Radio, the sound is more or less the same.

Your heart will break when they remove the door panel and fix the speakers. no wire cutting. Its all plug and play.

The ECU remap is available now for certain car codes. Unluckily my car come under the code that has added security, so not ECU remap. But I got a racechip put in and its as good. I have the option to change driving modes from my phone. SO that i like.
