Vauxhall on a Contessa

Guys these are some of the pics of a contessa with a vauxhall type body on it.Engine is stock conty engine.created at an inhouse workshop of an industrialist in Cochin.Created by hand referring to an old snap

pardon me if the body is not that of Vauxhall since my knowledge regarding vintage cars is minimal.

OT:Rover Mini

Holy cow- that used to be a conty...? Really neat work. Here we have people trying to convert Maruti zens into Ferrari F350's, and this guy goes on to make a vintage out of a classic. Nice.

Even I suck at identifying the oldies, but if I had to, I would assume that looks like some sort of a...erm...Ford, perhaps..?

I have seen Contessa turned into Mercs but this is just awsome!!!

I too want to get my hands on a old car and Overhaul it now!!!

Its inspiring to see there are many people in India too who can afford and do such things!!

Just Incredible..............

Obviously a very wealthy man, but one with taste. His 7 series, Mini and Audi TT aren't too bad either.

Simply amazing!!! I have seen restored vintages and have had the pleasure of being driven in one (rather 2) of them.

But this is a wonderful idea.

A doctor, my acquaintance, enjoys restoring vintages. He now has a Volkswagen Beetle from the 70s, a Karmann Ghia and an amazing jeep from Volkswagen called "The thing".

Obviously Vitamin M matters ($$$)

KL03 reg...from Pathanamthitta district.Hard to believe that such a body was fabricated by hand.Any chance that an old body was engineered onto the contessa's underpinnings?

BTW who own's the vintage replica?Any idea on the cost of such an exercise? In case it isn't obvious,I can't believe that beauty was once a contessa.

The car is owned by an industrialist in cochin who is also a major vintage car collector. The conty was KL-3 registerd.Am not sure of the cost involved but it took them almost one year to complete it.Best part is the looks ppl have when the car easily overtakes a zen/santro as most never expect this kind of a car to go beyond 30Km.
