So now I can see my car rear video all the time while m driving and this helps me well in nights wearing those sunfilms on all glasses.
Nice price and setup. Mine is also RD but on a clip on mirror. I took the bluetooth one without realising the hazzle it would be later on!

I wish I had the idea of connecting the camera permanently when I fixed it!

Yes there is a problem with the display when clipped on rear view mirror. It shakes constantly while driving so you cannot make the best use of it as a rear view mirror from its dark glass.

Keeping this in view I had got a dedicated switch for the camera to show the rear view even while driving ahead. So this way I can see rear far better than a mirror and also can switch it off when required. I felt investing for a branded quality camera should not just work when I am on reverse gear that lasts for few minutes or seconds.

There is no info on this particular camera, bought it of a accessory shop. it doesn't even have a name or guarantee. since i just needed one camera to support the parking sensor i didn't feel like spending more. will post its picture to have a idea about display quality

Its the back wall of podium parking. the range markings go a little high due to the higher position of install.

The lines show how far you are from the object which gets overlayed over it. for it to be more realistic, camera has to be mounted as low as possible. i didn't do that way.

Guys, booked the top-end punto and planning to install parking sensors in it. Not the camera type. Suggestions please. If I get it done from the showroom it should not void any warranty - correct ?

I saw sensors in the top-end Scorpio with a small display on the rearview mirrors - does anyone know which brand this is ? I liked it and if possible would install in on the punto.

Parking Sensors for SX4

Hi All

A few days back I booked a white SX4 ZXi MT that would be delivered shortly.

An accessory that I am considering, but told the dealer that I would confirm later, are the parking sensors. They said that the set of 6 (4 rear + 2 front) is no longer marketed, and therefore showed me the set with only 4 rear sensors (Crosslink) for 3,800. Also, I was informed that the set marketed by Maruti has only sound, but no visual, on the other hand, the Crosslink set had its visual and sound output on its own mirror to be mounted completely on top of the IRVM. Since it is designed as a mirror to fit over the rear view mirror, there is no possiblity of it being fitted anywhere else. It was for this reason that I suspended that decision for the time being, though I do feel that parking sensors, especially rear, would be very helpful. I cannot visualize how a sensor display in the middle of the rear view mirror affect the rear view. Some threads/posts that I have checked talk of a problem during night when the IRVM visibility suffers.

I would appreciate an input from those who have a IVRM mounted parking sensor screen. Or should I go for the MGA parking sensor with only sound?
