For reverse cams / sensors; has anyone heard of the brand Golden Eye. Quite a few dealers strongly recommended it to me. The advantages seem to be - (i) combines sensor and camera; and (ii) does not require mirror but uses a separate LCD screen.

My concerns:

- Didn't see this brand referred anywhere including this entire thread. Is it reliable compared to say a Xenon?

- I hope the LCD with time does not come loose from the Dash. It has a pretty basic double stick tape. Dont want it to come loose at some point or keep falling off after a year or so.

It may come out (have seen on my friend's SX4) but you have to stick back again... That's not a big issue considering the valuable service it provides, I guess

Hi Friends,
I have seen some real good sensor in some high segment cars and thinking why can't something like that in my Linea added separately. During the research, I found that Steelmate is one of the world famous parking sensor manufacturer and they supply to UK/Australia/USA etc and to my surprise, they are originally from China. Yes, its a China made quality product. They have something like intelligent sensors etc. I am trying to get in touch with them to know whether they have any supplier in India. But, they have some wonderful range.

Reverse Parking sensors - Freedom Installations

Following are the best brand of sensors which I got from the net during my research -
-The Taurus T123
-Quanan Q2030S
-Sempal Mobiltron Supa
-Steelmate PTS 200N2
-Meta Targa SR2
-Cobra ParkMaster 0166

Note - I don't have any commercial interest with it. Above information I found during my research of Parking Sensor on Internet and thought of sharing in this thread on Reverse Parking Sensor.

While I have'nt heard of GOLDEN EYE, I recommend that stay clear of local cheapos unless you are quiet sure of quality. Afterall, it concerns your security. Here are a few pics of Dashboard mount LCD (3.5") that you can pair with a reverse camera and sensors:

Is this the Redsoul with the LCD indicators on the Inside Rear view mirror or an LED indicator that can placed anywhere across the dash. Either ones, can you share the cost of the same ?

Thanks
Siva

Has anybody tried installing a reverse parking sensor in a Fiesta? Just curious to know if it voids the warranty or not.

What are the compatible brands for Fiesta?

there is nothing as compatible brands for fiesta. You can install from any company but do pick up a reliable one (go through the thread for this). Which warranty are you talking about?

You can use any brand of Reverse Parking Sensors, they are not specific to car model or manufacturer.

regarding the warranty, as far as i know, untill & unless the installer dosent slice or cut any of the car's wiring during the installation, it is allright & there are no issues. It is recommeneded to get the sensors installed from branded shop like Xenos Galleria or any other company whose installers come to install them. You can search on the thread as there are many brands recommended on the forum & there are various experiences also posted by the fellow members.

But, before going ahead with the installation, i would suggest that you please enquire with the Ford guys, they may have some restrictions on the same. So precaution is better then cure

Thanks sharma_sanjeevi.. that was helpful. Actually I was expecting to hear a 1st hand report directly from the horse's mouth. i.e. if somebody has already done it for their Fiesta.

regarding the brands, I did visit the market and you have a lot of players to choose from. I like the 'Auto-cop' branded also known with the brand name - "Scorpio".
When I checked with the Ford guys, they said, as long as the electricals are not tampered by cutting or splitting, its fine.

I am still hoping that some fellow BHPian owning Fiesta comes forward if they have put any reverse sensors with their advice on doing things.

cheers!!

RD 7" Inch LCD display + RD Camera + RD sensors - 10.5k

This was also after much research in and out of Team BHP. I had few cheap made in china options before me when I was going for it but hardly controlled myself to find something of good quality and brand. Finally it was RD that became my choice. Suresh is RD distributor in hyd and is a very nice guy who has good knowledge on car mods. He also allowed me to use both models with and without bluetooth before paying for it. I found with-bluetooth is more frustrating to get the camera view soon after starting it without having it connected to my mobile coz of that nagging connecting... screen. So got the other model with a dedicated switch below my steering. This is a combo pack night view camera along with rear sensors that also shows me how far the object is from all 4 sensors with a buzz. So now I can see my car rear video all the time while m driving and this helps me well in nights wearing those sunfilms on all glasses. Reversing in a packed parking is a Zip Zap Zoom now for me.
