It is a diode, which in forward bias has a minute resistance, and ideally a short circuit.
I know that LEDs have minute forward resistance.
But dont forget that LEDs are always used with a series resistor. The LED module (module because it is a series & parallel combination of several LEDs) would present a higher resistance than the stock bulb.
Now, why higher resistance and not lower? Because the LED modules are of much lower wattage than turn-signal bulbs ( bulbs in my WagonR are 21W front & rear and 5W side).

Fixed hyper flashing with the help of these resistors. 50w 6 ohms

Quoting an extremely old post, since I don’t want to create a new one

Do you have a good link for purchase on Amazon ? A cursory glance on Amazon list a few ones from Uno Minda.
Ever since I installed the LED bulbs as turn indicators on my car, I am getting the hype a flashing sound.
I called up a local mechanic to explain this problem and he had absolutely no clue

Re: LED turn indicators flashing too fast - How to fix it?

do you know what is the type of relay you have now - or if your car uses a relay at all ? (most modern cars have an integrated BCM these days)

I bought mine from aliexpress before the ban on Chinese imports - if you have to buy now, you will need to either cough up to buy from an importer site, or buy a regular flasher and do some surgery on the PCB to disable the hyper flash mode

Hi Ahmed , The link that you sent is only suitable for motor bikes.
I have a car, not a two wheeler

Re: LED turn indicators flashing too fast - How to fix it?

Need a fix for hyper-flashing on my ninja 300. A few days back, I installed a led hazard module along with led bulbs on my bike. If i use the right or left indicator, they hyper-flash.

However, if I turn on the hazard feature, all four indicators flash at a regular interval (just like oem). Do I need to add resistors to fix this issue?

Note: The flasher relay is still the oem one.

Find an led flasher relay with same pins layout or you can swap out all 4 bulbs with bulbs that have built in resistors.

Do you have more details of this ? Also, I assume that you have used one such resistor per indicator bulb.

Conceptually, the load on the blinker circuit must remain the same. You can measure the resistance on the stock bulb and then the led bulb and add a resistor to make up for the difference (using a multimeter).

Also, there are indicator relays with an adjustment knob that lets you set the interval. These used to come with some German aftermarket led upgrade kits.

Re: LED turn indicators flashing too fast - How to fix it?

This can easily be fixed with a jugaad, just splice in the normal bulb in between the turn indictor wire. Do remember to cover the bulb with tissues/cloth and secure it somewhere so that it won't make noise or break by hitting something
