Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I would strongly recommend DIY method. Saves a lot of money while the rubber from the generic blades are actually strong, durable and functional.

Jetta quoted so much that i started my DIY then. I have changed twice and i can say i still havent paid what they quoted to change once.

Shell Petrol Pumps stocks Hella wipers. I have seen a decent range at the Shell near Varthur.

Sincere apologies to both of you. I didn't get any notifications regarding my post getting quoted hence I missed replying. Hope my reply will be of use now.

My question to you is that did your packaging contain multiple connector attachments to make this wiper universal. TIA!

It needs to be ordered separately. I mean the drivers side separate and the passenger side separate. It is not sold as a Set for the car. You have to know the size of the blade and order accordingly.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I have the Honda City 2014 idtec and I find from this thread that the size of wipers is 24 and 14. However, on actual measurement I find the sizes to be 25.5 and 14. So which would be better 24-14 or 26-14? Anyone with the City idtec please clarify.
I am actually on the lookout for Hella curvo. Is it better than Bosch CA?
Any online sites from where these can be sourced reliably?

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

^^ I would recommend 24 and 14.

The left blade is angled so even 16 should work.

Why don't you buy standard blades instead of the ones with curves?

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

There are not many options for Fiat Linea when it comes to wiper blades due to the unique clip that is being used.
The original ones cost 799+799 on 99rpm and one is PowerX which is available on many websites at different price range of 595 + 849.
I was fortunate enough to pick them for 595 plus 15% cashback on PayTM.
It fit nicely but while using I found them making very slight hiss noise which I think should disappear with usage.
Cleaning is also perfect.

Hope it helps.

I have just started using the Clear Advantage wiper blades since a week on my Dzire.
Initial impression is that it is much more robust, sweep movements are smooth and linear on the glass, no jumping, squeaking, etc and very silent when compared to the earlier Bosch Eco that I was using. I think the rubber quality on these blades are couple of notches above the Eco ones.
I hope this will last more than a year, let's see how it pans out.

Going to be hard to find blades for German cars. Usually the dealership is your best bet if you are looking for a reputed brand. Could cost around 3.5 to 5k for a set.

I wish Bosch Aerotwin with the push button adapter system for German cars was available in the market readily.

The only other cheaper alternative is a south east asian brand DSC or something which costs half the price but not sure about it's long term quality.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Tried searching this thread, but could not find anything relevant.

What is the rear wiper blade size for the Fiat Palio? 12", 14" or 16" ?

I have been using those on my skoda rapid (24" & 16") for last two years. Every year I will change just before monsoon and they do good job .

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I got the 22" fitted. The 16" expected tomorrow (supply issues with Bosch). The cleaning is really good and streak less. Hopefully it lasts a year or two. Got it from Konark (Raju Bhai) and got additional discount (TBHP sticker did the job) :-)
