16 and 22 inches should work fine although they are not exact original size.

You already got the answers, its 22"/16" combination. Just got the wipers on my Fusion upgraded to Bosch Clear Advantage yesterday. Same size as Fiesta, costed INR 8xx with taxes from authorized Bosch distributor in my home town.

->When the hopping occurs i notice that the wind shield is not completly clear even though the wiper is wiping. There seems like some kind of haze on the outside of the windshield.
->Feels like the wiper motor is tired ,ie,the wiping speed reduces

As mentioned by jacs, this is either a mechanical issue OR it could be that you are running the wiper on a fairly dry screen?? Does the hopping occur even when the screen is drenched?

If its a mechanical issue then why should it crop up only after using the wiper for some time?

No it was raining moderately when it started streaking and hopping.

Since the problem occurs with different wiper blades(stock syndicate, bosch normal, bosch clear advantage), i am suspecting there is a issue with the glass. Maybe the glass surface becomes more resistant after wiping for some time . I Dunno. Havent been able to nail the issue!

Try this - spray the wiper fluid when the streaking/hopping occurs. If this resolves the issue. Then it is an issue of wiping a dry(relatively) screen, run the wiper at a lower freq setting. Hope this resolves your issue.

As suggested the windscreen wiper is not getting sufficient water/moisture for a smooth wipe. Does this occur when you use the windscreen washer fluid continuously?

This happens in my Ritz too. Thought it was wiper blades issue so changed the blades with a new one but it still repeated for a shorter duration but the dry part which is on the extreme top right corner where the water is low the squeaking is heard there. Rest of the windscreen is wiped normally and clean without any squeaks.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Any places in Bangalore where I can get the Bosch Clear Advantage wipers for my Skoda Rapid (24/16)?
I tried Tyre empire (tyre plus) in HSR and whitefield. No luck.

Vikas Auto Links, behind Reddy buildings, JC road. You need to go till the petrol bunk in the middle of JC road, take left and another left, parallel to the JC road and opposing the JC road traffic flow. You will find the shop on your right. He is the main distributor for the Bosch products.
Also Vijaya diesels on the Urvashi road is also another option.

You can try Raghavendra Motors near Hoody. Opposite to Tyco Electronics.
