re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Is there any way to revive the blades? I've installed Bosch regular blades last season and this season they've started to squeak and leave streak marks. Did not expect them to last for just one monsoon. I make sure to raise the blades when the car's parked in the basement.

Best way forward is to get them changed kalpesh. If the rubber at the base has gone bad then unlikely that you can revive them. You could try cleaning the rubber part which makes contact with the windshield and check,if it doesn't help then get a new pair.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Picked up a set of Bosch wipers for my Cedia, 18" and 24" just 3 weeks back, 450/- for a pair.

The passenger side 18" already wipes sparingly with its outer tip off the glass for major part of sweep and the driver side 24" leaves lines.

Had Syndicates earlier, they performed better.

Got 3 questions:

1. What could be the reason?

2. Should I contact Bosch service or the seller?

3. Should I use a size smaller on passenger side?

If the passenger side wiper is off the glass then the complete wiper blade is not in contact with glass so it won't wipe properly.

As for driver side, see if some dirt is embedded between the wiper and glass. It Will cause streaks. Wipe them clean. Also try re fitting the wiper once

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I got Hella wipers (complete rubber type) for my Octy last year. The drivers side wiper, though cleans the surface properly has left swirl marks on the windscreen. Its made night driving hard, no such issues with the other wiper blade.

Is it dust or is does the wiper blade need replacement ?

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Got new Hella blades for my Swift. Picked up from some store called Bhavi at Milan Subway and paid Rs.350/- for a pair.

Couple of days the wipes were clean and nice. But a week later, its leaving streaks all over the windscreen. I wipe the blades with lint free cloth everyday still the streaks. I just hate them and absolutely not tolerate on a new set.

I suggest you to use, BOSCH in future. I am using them for around 1 year and still they clean the windscreen, without any streaks or something. I am really impressed with them, I bought them for 320/- for my accent.

Cheers,

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Where can I buy Bosch wiper blades in Gurgaon/Delhi (preferably somewhere near Ring Road from Dhaula Kuan to Pitampura)?

I want to buy them for Polo and if the dealer has something in my budget, for Civic also.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Yesterday I have changed my two years old Figo's wiper to Bosch 21" (original was 22" but not available with him) and 16" wipers.
I have got the pair for 300 bucks from local Bosch service center, the result is fabulous, completely satisfactory.
