re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

oh it sweeps perfect. especially with the Sonax windscreen wash i use extensively. but seems i have messed up with the size instead of 16" & 22" i went for 17" & 22" . i think i should have selected 17" & 21" since there is a slight ( mean really slight) overlap now.

i used almost every brand of wiper blades in my Ikon but nothing seemed to last more than a year. probably due to the high oxidation in Kerala. so i promised my self not to spend much money on brands but as i said i really liked the way it looked.

will update after the monsoon about the real Quality!!

Bosch or Syndicate ?

My July 2008 vintage Bosch set need to be replaced. So which one - Bosch or Syndicate ? Reason for asking My OE set from Nov 2008 by Syndicate is still going strong.

Syndicate: 287 to 300 (at M&M & TML resp) each
Bosch was closer to 330 each, last I checked

But since 16" was not in stock I wnt for 22" & 17".
never knew hellao had wipers, why is it not on shop4hella.com?

changed my ritz, 16" and 22" to bosch recently, better than syndicate imo.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Just picked up a set of bosch blades(20"18") for the baleno! Got it from the distributor for 292 bucks! He said they work very well for the first monsoon and average for the 2nd. He has Aero's on some of his cars. they cost 800 buck a pop and last well for 2 monsoons. The 3rd onwards its average.
Since the blades are so cheap, it wouldn't hurt me to replace them every 1-2yrs!

Cheers!

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I raised a query on Bosch India website for nearest reatailer details on Sunday evening and I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from them on Monday 9:30AM and they sent me 2 retailers contacts by mail where I can buy them. Good Customer Service Bosch Aftermarket.

For battery, goto this page, Bosch - Batteries

Select "Contact" on the top bar, select "Automotive Aftermarket" and click on continue, under the fax number, click on "Send Email" and type your query there with your contact details.

Thanks Dadu! Got a call from Bosh and after that 2 dealers called me. Price according to the dealer for a bosh S3 battery 35AH-12V - 3,100 before exchange and 1 year warranty
And 3,800 for the S4 with 2 year warranty

Hearing these prices I went with Amaron

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

My Swift Dzire's wiper needs to be replaced. I am not willing to fork out 1700-1800 for a pair of wiper blades. Can someone suggest me which wiper blades to opt for and where to procure them? What other alternatives apart from Bosch?

^^^
Bosch regular wiper blade should cost you Rs. 300 for both wipers. Rs.1700 is Bosch aero twins, sleek and makes less noise. However members here have varied experience. If you don't want to spend more, get regular Bosch wipers.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

@Sachinj12,
SYndicate - OE & Bosch are at the lower end
Hella Premium - same price. Available at least at Rel Auto Zone
Hella Dynaedge - somewhere between 800 -1000. I have seen these in the bylanes of JC Rd, but not yet in the bigger shops. You can try the bigger accessories shops too.

After using Bosch blades for more than 3 years, I moved to Hella Premium on my Swift 2 months ago. For almost the same price they are at least twice as good. I'd highly recommend them if you dont want to go in for the higher end aero twin types.

Hi, can u let me know from which shop in Bangalore did you pick up the Hella Premium wipers and how much did they cost?

I also have Bosch wiper blades on my Wagon-R since 3 years and now seems that time has come for them to be changed.
