thanks
Bosch Aero twins are available at Metro Cash n' Carry for ~600 a piece. But the Kanakapura Metro has only 18". I picked up two for my Swift and they work great, although glass coverage is obviously not as good as the stock because these are shorter. Not yet tried in heavy rain so can't comment on whether this is something I can live with.

While looking for the correct Aerotwins for my swift, i called up Adiga Automotives. They are advertised on the Bosch website as an authorized Bosch service center. They quoted 300 a piece on phone for 19/21" for Aero Twins and they sell it only as a pair. I am surprised that they are cheaper than Metro Cash n Carry. I am inclined to believe these are not Aero Twins but regular Bosch wipers, although I am not 100% sure as I have personally not seen what they are selling.

You can contact Adiga Automotives at:

Me too. I find the stock Gypsy wipes to be very poor. Plan to change to Bosch or Hella if original.

What is the size to use for a Gypsy?

Thanks

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Picked up the Bosch Aerotwins for the Swift from Carax in Pune (Pune- Mum Bypass).
Costed Rs. 700 for a pair. Tried it immediately, works like a charm. Exactly like the ones on my Laura.
They are slightly smaller than the OEM ones, but the sweep is decent and visibility isnt affected at all.

Carax Car Accessories
Baner Phata
Pune - Mumbai Bypass.

Near VITS hotel

P.S: I am in no way associated with the shop. Just added the details for others benefit.

Bought one from RZ works fine for the last couple of weeks, last used was the Bosch. Got a nice sweep and good vision. What attacted me was the heat factor that can affect rubber, silicon they say wont have the issues..well i vouch since my wife uses these moulds to bake..expensive though..As a practise I change these very 12months.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

My car's wipers leave a hazy film of moisture that evaporates but is formed again when the wiper blades return for the next sweep. One possible reason could be that there are some visible scratches on the windshield. Another doubt is that could it be because the wiper washer fluid is not correct? I have been using a capful of ordinary hair shampoo per liter of water. Will it be better if I use a "proper" windshield washer fluid?

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Here is a hell of a unique situation. I need to replace the wipers on my Octy asap. None of the accessory dealers here have any brand (Syndicate or Bosch). Anyone from Gurgaon can give any leads please. Do not want to visit shoddy stores as their stock is suspect.

Cheers

Same here. I went to the Hyundai A.S.S yesterday to change blades for my i20. They quoted 380/- per piece and 60/- as handling charges.

I told the engineer there that I would get twin Bosch blades for 400/-. He suggested me to go for the Bosch ones and agreed that OEM ones are overpriced.

BTW, I got a quote of 475/- for a set of Bosch blades from a local car dealer in my area. Is the price mentioned reasonable? How do we ensure the genuity of the blades?

210 per piece you meant?

Thanks for the Information mate! .

Here's my experience. Adiga Automotives is the only Authorised Bosch Service center who ever responded to my calls. The guy incharge over there Mr. Vishakh was very helpful!.

I got a pair of regular BOSCH wipers for my car 22" and 16" for Rs.300/- (all inclusive including fitting sans a bill). I also learnt how to fix them myself .

They didn't have a 12" rear wiper though. Will get it some other time.

They advised me against AEROTWINS. I am not sure why. Considering they are superior they would probably cost more than 300/- for a pair.

Anyway, got to use the new wipers yesterday and I am very happy with the new wipers.

re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I got Bosch wipers of 12" length for my Gypsy for 90/- each from JC road this weekend.

I dunno why you guys are paying such high rates elsewhere.
