Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hi

I have the WagonR 2020 model 1.2 AMT and wanted to know the correct size of the wipers.
Following the bosch sizes, had ordered 18 / 16 bosch eco last year and they have lasted me a year. My car is exposed to sun, dust, heat, etc so cant expect more in bbay city.

However the set I ordered is a little short and forms a small island in the bottom between them.
I read on boodmo to get 21 / 18 set for 1.2L ZXI AGS (BS-VI) 06.2019 - 01.2022 1.2L Petrol K12M

Unfortunately they didnt have the Aerotwin from Bosch so I am looking at Amazon to buy.

Can someone confirm if the 21 / 18 is indeed the correct size, or advise the correct size to go for.

Thank you very much!

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hello.
My 2018 Honda City wiper seems to be acting up in intermittent mode recently.
It works as intended in every other mode. However, on switching to intermittent moded, they cease to wipe subsequently after the first sweep. On adjusting the wiper speed in this mode, theres another sweep with every step of speed adjustmwnt but none thereafter.
Is it a glitch? Is it due to rain sensing? Its a zx iVTEC.
Thanks.
@mods please move post if there's a more appropriate thread. I failed to find any.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Has anyone purchased wiper blades from here? https://www.autofolk.in/online-store...des-c155400284
They seem to be showing the aerotwins as available. Wondering how genuine this site is.

Is there an intermittent mode in City ZX? Or is it only Auto mode?

Are you checking this when the car is stationary? There is a setting to link the Intermittent mode wiper speed to Vehicle speed. So please check that.

Need some honest reviews for the frameless ones.
I've been using Blaupunkt Velocity frameless wipers on Baleno since last monsoon. Excellent performance with no sound at all.

In my Polo, I used the OEM (bad- probably spoilt as car was in open stockyard before purchase), Bosch Clear Advantage frameless wipers (okay, not exceptional) and Schaeffler framed (bad- left streaks of droplets and thudding noise at end of side movement and a squeak on glass which is ceramic coated). Switched to Blaupunkt Velocity today and the performance is fantastic. No noise at all and the windshield is crystal clear surprisingly.

Purchased from Fitwell Auto, opp Mirage Hotel, Andheri Kurla road for Rs.1100/-.

I stand corrected. Its auto mode.
The problem persists. There is just one wipe and non thereafter in this mode. Maybe it needs more than a drizzle to be triggered.
@sreeknair Not in stationary car. Its happening both when i am on the move and otherwise.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Ordered a Schaeffler wiper from Motorparts for my Vento as i couldn't find it elsewhere. Got a bit of dated manufactured product from 2023 but been using it for a month and it does a good job and gives a clean wipe for now.

Earlier used to have the Bosch ones and it had already started making streaks and squeaks in the windscreen. The quality of Bosch for some reason seems to have fallen of late and I have been replacing those quite regularly so tried out Schaeffler this time.

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Thanks. I will try it. Have you used RAINX, HELLA and MICHELIN? Looking for reviews as none of the wipers currently are good

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Can someone please tell how much do MG Gloster OEM wipers cost and what size are they? I think they are correct match for the Polo.

After researching on Amazon, I decided to try the Michelin wiper blades. They cost me Rs 1350 for a pair (26 inches + 16 inches) and were delivered in 4 days by Amazon's Etrade online seller.
...
So far, they provide a silent wipe and clean well.
...
I will update you on the durability of the product after a few months of use during the monsoon season.

Just ordered Michelin "Flat Wiper Blade" i.e. Frameless from Amazon. Any reviews from anyone after using them?

I'll use them for a week or so and update here shortly.

Mine went to waste.
They don't come with an adapter compatible with my car, the X5.

Amazon didn't allow returns and only offered replacement (like for like).

The smaller wiper 20" was given to my neighbour.

.
I had used Michelin blades some 3 years back (not the frameless model though). I felt they were less durable, I had to change the same in a matter of few months.
