One thing that I experienced is that the foam bottle supplied in only 500 ml which seems to be a little under capacity for my XUV700, it is pk for smaller cars. The pressure rating, water output etc. is good. I bought this one for two reasons, 1. It is made in India and compares well with other brands 2. It came will practically all c=accessories that you may need to wash your car and use it around the house.

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

Which of the automatic washers are recommended instead of manual hand wash ?

1. ResQTech
2. Karcher
3. Eurofine. I am seeing these Eurofine pressure washers on YouTube recently and they are made by a Salem based company. They claim, the motor is made in Coimbatore and they are reliable.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Most of the Pressure washers available, including the above three, do not have Quick Disconnect(QD). QD is a quick way to connect accessories. I am using Resqtech PW107 (150 bar pressure, 6.5 litres per minute water discharge) for the last 3/4 months. I have bought an adapter which has a QD, and a set of nozzles. With this accessory the pressure washer has become very convenient and useful. Starting from scratch it takes me about 1.5 to 2 hrs to wash and wax my car. Hope this helps.

So this is my set up. JPT Multiple Degree Washer Spray Nozzle Tips Quick Pressure Washer Nozzle, 1/4", 5-Pack, a one litre foaming bottle(500ml is small for a big car like XUV700) and an adapter shown below.

The Resqtech PW-107 does not come with a water intake hose, you can buy one from Amazon like this one

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

Planning to buy resqtech pw-101. How good is it? The tap next to the place I wash has very great force and I'd prefer direct tap intake. Also the tap water is extremely hard (the water has visible scales) and what would be the best way to safeguard the washer from damage?

I am using Resqtech PW107 which has a pressure of 150 bar, 150-200 bar is good for a thick foam.
After using I realised that a "quick connect" is very convenient for connecting various accessories like, Foaming Cannon, Pressure Nozzles etc. Resqtech and some other pressure washers do not have this. So I bought an adapter for use with my pressure washer, shown in picture below.
As regards hard water I would suggest that you dry the car very quickly and not let water dry on the paint. When using Foaming Cannon use hot distilled water. Drain the pressure washer after use to reduce damage.
Hope this helps.

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

Review of ResQTech PW-108

I had bought a ResQTech PW-108 pressure washer off the Amazon big billion day sale. Regular price is INR 14799. I got it for INR 13299. Delivered yesterday and used it today. The package includes the regular adjustable connector, one turbo rotary nozzle, one 180 degree adjustable fan type nozzle and a foam cannon. And it did not include a self priming kit. Specs are load rating of 2200W, Pressure upto 170bar with working pressure of 140bar along with a flow rate of 9LPM which is equivalent of 2.377GPM. Easy to assemble if you follow the manual properly. Once assembled and bled properly then using it is simple and intuitive as it's auto start stop system is pretty fast. Pressure is great and the water rushes out like crazy fast. Used the regular adjustable nozzle and the 180 degree adjustable one to clean the car. It cleaned without any issue. Applied foam with the included foam cannon which although doesn't spray foam like the professional cannon where the foam just clings onto the car is quite more than sufficient for personal usage. Base layer of the foam does cling onto the car sufficiently. 500ml bottle but could only use half of the quantity. So one bottle will be sufficient to do two washes. Cleaned and rinsed the car then foamed, touch type cleaning done and then rinsed again and dried with a large drying towel and the surface is very very clean to the touch. Overall I am impressed witht the machine. The 3year warranty included is a life saver too. That's all I had to say for the purchase. Thoroughly satisfied. If anyone has any query feel free to post here or PM me directly.

Regards,
Subhra

I have a Karcher pressure washer at home in Coorg so don't remember the model. However, must say I am happy with its performance. It generates enough pressure to clean my Fiesta completely. The foam tank (car shampoo) is small but more than enough for one wash. I would recommend it if the budget allows

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

I cancelled my order of Starq W3A as Starq support told to use the washer at least once a week otherwise the pump will get jammed.

Can anyone who owns it confirm this ?

Any product suggestion which won’t require this mandatory usage pattern?

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

I got a Flipkart Smartbuy PKR 2.1 washer. It just got delivered the night before I left for a holiday. Build seems decent and the motor sounded quite beefy when I started up the pump for a few seconds.
Good deal for 4k that I got during the sale. Will post pics and further results once I procure the right hose for it when I am back.
Also, one drawback. The foam cannon is extremely small and I think it will need 2 refills to wash the whole car. Only my assumption, but it's minuscule!

You should first attach all the hoses, let a few liters of water run through the pressure washer to get rid of any air in the hoses and then turn on the power switch.

As with any water pump, running it dry is a good way to kill it.

Use it once in a few weeks, it works fine.

Can you share the URL for this adapter? Or may be the product name? I bought one from Amazon (JPT) but does not fit firmly on the gun. Some pointers would be helpful.

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

I use a Karcher which my wife gotvasva new year's gift from her office. It is good for car washes and other utilities around the house. The container is not adequate for a Xuv 700 but it is good otherwise
