You should have gone to a dedicated shop in the tool and hardware market.im sure there must be one in kolkata.

The mrp printed is 8500. I got quotes between 4k(on buying two) to 4.4 k max at the Hardware market in Ludhiana.

There are options from indian companies like everest. Even heavy duty 'made in rajkot' pressure washers that will strip paint off your car.

There was a water pump shop that sold only the skil model. Most shops had it so price was very competitive.nobody quoted above 4.4 k.

I called the Skil authorized dealers in Kolkata listed on their website. No one stock skil pressure washer here. So bought online :( .

Didn't know about this, was passing on the information I received in my office. It would be helpful if you can divulge the details to other members about your deal.

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

Quick question- Whats the difference between the Karcher K2.110 and K2.110*EU?
I was going through snapdeal and noticed that they have both. They are both made in Germany but the EU doesnt come with warranty while the other one comes with a 6mon warranty.

Im trying to get my hands on a discount coupon to bring the price down from 6650/-

Do check if you are getting the vario lance attachment, for some reason the 2.100 is no longer listed in the entry class category on the karcher website.

Rs. 6,499

EU is the european model, the difference being the connectors are different. Suggestion would be to go in for indian model with bill and warranty so that spares, service and accessories are easier.

The EU Model might not have been brought in to india through Karcher official channel. This is the reason Warranty is not provided.

Re: Buying & Using a Pressure Washer

fellow apartment dwelling Bhpians, this might interest you, recently bought a pressure (well not really pressure) washer from snapdeal which intakes water from bucket and uses car 12v point to generate outflow, as expected pressure is not much (much much less than karcher or bosch from what I ahve seen).

However was good enough to pre rinse the car and then after i manually applied shampoo on the car, it could wash off the suds- so all in all I am satisfied, used 3/4th of a bucket to pre rinse and 1 bucket to rinse the suds.

If you absolutely do not have access to both electrical point and running water - you might wanna look at this option. It also comes with a 220 v plug point adapter
a bit pricey though at 3300/-

disclaimer : not anyways associated with RKM or snapdeal

Just bought Karcher K2.120 @ 6687/- with 3 (free) EMI at homeshop18.com . They had some monsoon offer going on. The product was packed and delivered by a vendor from Bengaluru. Had a nice overall experience. K2.120 comes with additional dirt blaster lance.

The dirt blaster lance has too much pressure. It peeled off some underbody 3M coating from tyre-wells. Have to be carefull with this.

[This is my regular Pressure-Wash Warning ... ]

High pressure jets are not meant to be used on cars. They can damage paint, even.

There should be a low pressure option. On my Bosch it is an adjustable wand which opens up to a fan shape, and that is suitable for car wash.

So, everybody asks, why buy a pressure washer?

Because that "low" pressure option is pretty "high" compared to what comes out of most of our taps, and is amazingly effective.

I ended up buying it through ebay. Paid a few rupees shy of 7k for a k2.120. I had some major issues with ebay payment etc. Finally paid for it on Monday and i hope to get it by wednesday. Its coming all the way from CH via FEDEX!
The only consolation is that the seller was very helpful and provided answers to all my questions. He also contacted me directly to tell me that its been shipped and provided me with the tracking number although ebay also does the same.

Check any Walmart, I saw a Karcher rotating brush there for 25$, dropped it due to lack of space.
