I hope it is not the latter !!
This one was Stock. The remapped Polo GT run (from another friend's car) was also put up earlier in the thread - 8.8x seconds. Please check

Thanks Kryptonite for posting Vbox results. I too have done similar testing on Gtx, punto 90hp and I10 1.2 kappa. Infact we all surprised I10 kappa has a very potent engine and inching towards gtx run times.

Wow, do you know how the DSG is holding up in this car?
Is this one of the first Rapid/Vento TDI DSGs to be remapped?

Sorry if it is a silly question, my understanding was that the 7 speed dq200 dsg used in the Vento/Skoda could handle only 250nm torque. Wouldn't the 320nm remap make the gearbox prone to failure (Especially considering it's history of un reliability).

There are DSG Gearbox Maps also, internationally available.

The DSG is holding up beautifully. Yes, it is one of the first 1.5 TDI DSGs to be remapped. The car has clocked over 20,000 kms already

The unreliability of the DQ200 was never due to it's torque handling capability, but actually due to various other reasons which are publicly documented. All of those issues have been sorted out in the newer cars.

Like the DQ200, the MQ250 used in the manual version of the Vento/Rapid TDI is also 'rated' at an input torque of 250nm, but that doesn't mean you cannot go higher. If you've looked at the dyno graphs I've shared on this forum, we peaked 380nm on my Rapid only for race purposes. It's aggressive, but it's possible, safely. My Rapid has now run 86,000 kms and still running strong, but of course, it runs a street tune that only peaks 320~330nm for street/everyday use.

All engines are gearboxes are built with enough tolerance. Remaps exploit this tolerance. Yes, you obviously need to go higher on torque if you want to go faster, but it all critically depends on how smoothly/progressively that peak torque is built & how long it's held. And to do this well, you need to do a lot of testing yourself. Only a good tuner can exploit the built in tolerance/buffer very well.

Hey kryptonite, thank you for sharing that data. Really shows the power of engineering.

Any which way one looks at it, Vento generating 390 NM, 165 BHP at the wheel post remap is insane to say the least

And that timing of 0-100 km/hr in just over 7 seconds is almost super car territory. Mind boggling numbers and really showcases machine and engineering capabilities.

So your car is faster than a stock 530D! A 2l 4 cylinder beating a 3l 6 cylinder is just insane!! The C and 3 can't hold a candle to your Laura. Wanted to do a Vbox run in my Abarth cause it feels like it could do 100 faster than the claimed 8.8s. I just hope sub 8 second times are possible after the stage 1 remap!

Btw, got to see your car @ Adiga last week when I came to have a chat with Vivek. She sure looks beautiful! Didn't get a chance to talk to you though. Would love to check your car out in detail sometime

While not a VBox run, here's a 0-100 log from another device which operates much like the way the VBox does. The device is called the Gtech Fanatic Pro RR.

2001 Turbo Honda City
Stock engine specs: 105 bhp
Estimated Turbo engine specs: 200 bhp

Stock 0-100 timing about 10 seconds
0-100 clocked by me as per the log: 5.89s

Is that for real Pranay J Pandya

That is almost BMW M3 territory buddy and we are talking about a mainstream sedan here

Can you please post some pics of the car or at least create a thread of its own to share the mod details?
