I ordered this on eBay and i got it delivered. I think its black. I am yet to use it. I guess its still not avaialable in india. Please correct me if i am wrong.

I think one needs to be at a certain distance while spraying this. I read somethin at the back of the can which says that this spray is carcinogenic. One should cover their nose and other parts of body while spraying. I was scared and have not tried it.

AFAIK, Da Design aka D.A.D. Based In Mumbai Use Plasti Dip To Wrap The Cars. They Have Worked On Cars Like Range Rover, BMW, Jaguar, ETC.
I Have Seen A Few Cars Like A Matte Sky Blue CIVIC, Matte Orange EVOQUE, Metallic Golden Z4, Metallic Silver Z4 On The Streets Of Mumbai.
Their Work Is Pretty Neat.

What is the colour range? If it matches to that of your car it will also help in hiding some ugly scratches along the body lines or the hood if one can be creative enough. This would help mask the ugly scars and not foul with the RTO stipluations etc.

Call Pankaj Gandhi on +91 982-004-8105. He is a distributor or dealer for Plasti-Dip in India.

The usual disclaimer applies.

If this is available only in black then certainly it wont work for most cars, apart from being a disaster in our Indian summers.

I do see however, a very interesting application on non body colored car bumpers, like on my Skoda Yeti.

Finally got around to use the plastidip and i plastidipped the rear VW emblems. the entire rear was masked using masking tape and old news papers. I did totally 4 coats of plastidip. check the pictures out and i was very happy with the out come. i used pressure wash to clean the emblems and the plastidip stayed on.

some more close ups of the emblems.

Great work. The VW emblem has come out real neat.

For the POLO emblem, did you scratch out the remains between the letters post spray ?

Just a wild idea - how well would it work on coloring the alloys ?:D

Results are excellent. Can you please provide where you purchased, it's cost & contact particulars?
POLO & Volkswagen letters were painted and then they were pasted to the car? Or after spraying you peeled of the remaining portion?
It will be very helpful if you share more on this too.... Once again the results are excellent...

I just plastidipped the entire emblem and the letters. after drying just used a tooth pick to get the extras out of the letters alone.

the letter were not removed. they were plastidipped as it was and used a toothpick to remove the excess.

Really nice work there in the VW Polo! I'm also from chennai and it would be useful to many of us if you could share details of the dealer for plasti dip (or as you mentioned it being rebranded here as strippex) and also the cost. Thank you.

So, i have order three cans of Plasti Dip from Pankaj Gandhi for the alloys of my Fabia (matte black). One can cost INR 950/- + Taxes. I was told that one can is sufficient for 2 alloys but have ordered 3 to be on the safer side.

He does have other color options like Blue, Yellow, White and Red.

Plan to Plasti Dip the alloys this weekend. will post pics

In case if we are going to use this on alloys how long will the rubberized coat last?
In a country like ours i dont think it would be reliable to use it on alloys based on our road conditions.
