Re: A rally legend! Just bought a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6

With a good launch it should be running a low 13 to a high 12. I really want to enter the drag but putting on a show for a crowd<my clutch. Launching the car will put alot of stress on the car and it being an older car i dont want to risk anything. If i do enter be aware that i would probably baby it of the line.

Congratulations Santosh on this super quick build of your EVO

IMO go gun-metal shade on your rims. The gold is somehow reminiscent for the Scoobys

I ended up doing gold as you can see in the pics. The gold stands out and is more appealing than gunmetal. Pics dont do justice the wheels look way better in person!

i think i saw you the other day at Lokhandwala backroads doing some fun runs. Not really loud but boy does she move. And you might want to get those squeaking pads checked .

Re: A rally legend! Just bought a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6

Why are panel gaps soo big between the bonnet and bumper ??
The shut lines are not set well
Same for the panel gaps between rear bumper and quarter panel and trunk lid.

Also change the gear knob it looks completely worked out

The space between the bumper and the bonnet is normal as you can see there is a air duct to bring in air for the intake and one more on the bonnet as well. The rear quaterpanel is fine thats how it sits. And the gear knob is a plain jane for now because i wasnt gonna replace it with a momo once i got until all the work was done.

Edit the front bumper looks wierd because there isnt a diamond logo in the front grill.

Re: A rally legend! Just bought a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6

Nopes the front bumper is not aligned perfectly, there is gap between the bumper and headlight as well
The gap between the bumper and hood is more than what it has to be.

But to each to his own

Re: A rally legend! Just bought a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6

Oh how I miss those days when this car along with 3-4 Evos/ Evo converts used to break the silence of the nights with the sound of their BOVs whistling away and their throaty exhausts purrrring during their night drives.

@i<3turbo
The exterior of the car is looking fresh and those golden wheels do look cool. Definitely fresher than black wheels. The interiors are looking tired though and that gear knob is begging to be replaced. Have you considered adding black leather seat covers too?? It would look uber cool with black seats rather than red IMO.

No spacers in mumbai! Roads are bad and i have to deal with a low profile tire on top of that haha. This would actually be my first car with oem wheels that im not using some sort of spacers.

Thanks bro. The interior was my least of worries and i kept it for last. I need to start saving up for a interior job but the job i want is going to cost me alot. I am probably replacing the knob today when i get the car and i will upload pics of it just for you guys haha.

Jatin sir you were right when i went to see the car yesterday i noticed the drastic gap. I uploaded the pics from my phone and also view the site on my phone maybe it more noticeable on the comp screen. Anyways it has been fixed and so has the front bumper.

Breaking news****
So i figured out my fuel issues. The fuel pump has gone bad. When at full throttle the engine isnt getting enough fuel. Luckily ks ordered for some pumps so that will hopefully come in next week and i can hopefully have the car running 100% mechanically. I will post videos of pulls and exhaust note and also blow off valve sounds for all your turbo perverts .
