Doing the full rust proofing. Dont wanna take any chances. I also want to keep this car long term and build the motor to give it 650-700 whp.

Gunmetal would definitely suit the alloy design you have. Golden looks good in 5/6 twin-spokes but not sure how it might look with more spokes.

Thanka for the input and your right dude. I had one of my good friends photo shop the wheels in gold and it looked bad. Silverish gunmetal it is.

Ummm... I'm not sure what to tell you here!

To me, it looks like the car you are calling "not even an evo" and the one you are calling "the only known evo6 import" (ie. your car) are in fact the same car!

Am not trying to put you or the car down here, but just pointing this out for whatever it's worth. Also, I don't know if its an import or a convert, i just shared what i had heard at the time.

The pics you posted:

Below: The pic I had posted earlier:
  • Taken in 2009 (before black spoiler and vortex generator was added)
  • Match the wall in the background with your first pic
  • Match the wheels
  • Match the numberplate (had blanked it out when i posted it earlier)

Congrats on getting the EVO, stuff that sweet dreams are made of . Please post the contact details of the person who's painting your rims. And also good resolution shots of before and after of the painted rims if possible.

In the pic you have posted, the car on top has the exhaust pipe on the left, while the bottom one has it on the right?

So you are telling me along with the bumper, the full exhaust system was changed to route out from a different side?

They switched to a bigger diameter exhaust and it was hitting the differtial or something so they switched to the jdm spec bumper which makes it to the right. Hope that clears it up.

I thought the EVOs are mod friendly, didn't think a simple thing like switching to a bigger diameter exhaust would hit the differential. But was the car imported from the UK? I would have thought it would be imported from Japan

I think it came from thailand but then again uk spec might be same as thailand. Japan always gets the goodies
