Re: About Vinyl Wraps

Hi Visaster, good to hear that you are back on track with a new Ciaz after those devastating floods. How do these guys charge for a wrap job, is it per sq.ft ? or how. How much did you pay for all the jobs you mention below and I think that would give an idea as well.

Really happy with the outcome on the car.
It is a glistening grey Ciaz with black alloy wheels and now these wrap. Did not have time to click photo, will do it over the weekend.

Was done at Modern Beauty cars garage @ Gopalapuram. They have an accessories shop just opposite E-Avenue.
This is my second job entrusted to Mr. Tanuj.
My previous Ciaz which was total loss in the Chennai floods had wrap done at the same place.

The car was submerged in 3rd basement about 35ft below ground level, it took 21 days for me to see the car. I was imagining that all the wrap and everything would have pealed off.
To my astonishment there was not even bubbling on a 1yr old wrap job.

Thanks. their charges are a little higher than 3M, but you get to customize as your need.
I got the roof and rear view mirror wrap for 5k last year.
This year I got the roof, mirror, sunshade on the front wind screen and the center pillars for 6K after Rs 200 discount.
3M quoted 3.5k+tax for just the roof.
Because I opted for gloss black I had to be double sure of the outcome.

Another place advised me to fix matt black wrap and then paint it with gloss for long lasting effect, totally costing about 8K

Re: About Vinyl Wraps

hello everyone! I have a brezza in the transit and I have picked the zdi version, first mod/ work on the car would be the roof wrap. I have inquired around in 3M centres and they have quoted 400/sqft to 500/sqft for black wrap with carbon fibre finish.
First question, that I had was, are these rates standardised by 3M? if so, why do I have different quotes?
Next, I will be shelling out close to 15k, do we have better option in bangalore? and I was thinking about 3M kormangla it has the better reviews from the rest of the 3M car care centres.

Please help me out to pick a finish, if the carbon fibre seems a bit too flashy? Also any place which can really do the job well and are economical (better than 3M kormangla.)

Any idea if 3M when wrapping fill in dents to make the wrapped area look normal? I also would like the camouflage look and wonder if we get something like this here. Saw these in Malaysia.About Vinyl Wraps-imageuploadedbyteambhp1469216314.284197.jpg

You can wrap dented areas in the same form of the depression not fill it and make it look normal. Of course you get all forms of wraps here in India. Depends on whom you go to for the wrap job. Even 3M has them.

You can always look at 3M located in RMV 2nd stage (on the road going down from MS Ramaiah entrance). I have got the roof of my car wrapped from here and 1 year on it is holding good.

Not sure on the pricing for a full body wrap, but for doing a full body paint protection film for the Verna had got a quote of 27K about a year back. So I guess wrap should be around that.

Hi-Creative designs in Koramangala, opposite Sachin Autos. The person name is Hafeez, you can refer to my name (Aditya) who got the roof wrap done with him for the Punto.

Re: About Vinyl Wraps

I've been loosely considering a wrap job on one of my cars for some time now. Can anyone recommend who are some of the best & reliable wrap guys in Mumbai?

So far from this forum I've come across the following options

The Wrap Shop Mulund,
Wrap it Up, Andheri
D.A.D Customs (I think I saw this somewhere)
Does 3M do wraps too? Not sure.

What's the best place to go - any tips would be welcome.

Thanks

So once again, I turned to DA Designs. I told them I wanted to wrap the car in matte black and they did the rest .
Hey. I just wanted to check since your wrap work is about 2 years or so old by now I guess, any feedback on the quality of the work etc? I'm considering doing a wrap on one of my cars and any inputs on wraps in general as well as DA Design's work would be helpful.

Thanks

The quality of the wrap is very good It has not come out from anywhere except the places where the car has been scratched thanks to my buildings very tight parking and mumbai traffic my car still wears the wrap although it isn't in the best of shape. Being a matte wrap it is very very prone to scratches every time you pull up at a light people crossing the road always run their hands across the bonnet or the side of the car and even this has left a quite a few scratches on the car although you have to be pretty close to see it their still annoying to me. My car also now has a dent on the right hand side rear quarter panel if I wish to mend this I will have to re-wrap pretty much the whole right side again barring the front fender since the whole thing is one big piece which will again take 2-3 days to do the wrap only excluding the time taken to fix the dent and repaint the body and this being my families primary car at the moment I can not afford to have the car away for so many days. All in all would I wrap my car again? probably but definitely not if I were to use the car everyday. Hope this is helpful cheers
