Installed : Orchis seat covers in my pre-owned Civic

I recently a purchased a pre owned 2008 civic V AT.
The original seat covers were leather, but the previous owner did not maintain it and they were in a shabby condition. The armrest cover was loose.Rear armrest cover was torn.

I headed to ORCHIS in Powai which is listed in our team-bhp directory.
Thay have the following art leather range to offer;
Musk
Lilly
Tulip
Lotus
Marigold

The top of the line genuine italian leather ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000Rs.

I opted for the Lotus range as I liked the feel of the art leather.

Explained the owner Mr Sunil Shinde that I wanted him to rip open the original leather and stich the new art leather covers to the foam directly.I placed the order, paid advance and sent the car next day.
Following day I left the car at 2 pm and the work was completed by 7 pm same day.
The fitting was top notch.Better than the OEM fitting. The front arm rest feels like a direct fit from the company.
In all I paid close to Rs7500.The door pads were not changed as they were in a good condition.

Let the pictures do the talking now.

They have a great setup with everything in house manufacturing facility with one full level at the ground floor and one level on first floor.
There were a couple of Honda accords and Mercedes C class which had come for original leather seat covers.

The car feels like new now.Highly recommended for Mumbai T-bhpians.

The art leather seats looks fabulous Kedar - very OEM-like. Impressive job! Making a quick note to check this place out. Exactly where is this store located in Powai?

And let me get this right: the damages were just Rs. 7500/-??!

Did you have to negotiate?

Beautiful photos and awesome work, Kedar! Very nice. Did they remove the seats to do the work or did they do it on the car itself???

re: Installed : Orchis seat covers in my pre-owned Civic

Nice job Kedar.

2 years back I wanted Art Leather covers for my city, Orchis was a 5 minutes drive from my place however they had just opened shop and there were no reviews up on Team Bhp, so decided to go all the way to Shivaji Park to Amar Motors as a couple of members had written good stuff about him. He did a good job as well though took a lot of time for the fitting but I was satisfied with the work done since I was very particular about removing the OE fabric and i wanted beige seats with black piping only.

He sold me Ovion Art Leather Covers which as per him were the highest grade of Art Leather, it costed my around 13000/- which i know is pretty steep but even after 2 years the covers are in good shape. The beige leather with black piping on a black car still manages to get me compliments.

Will keep Orchis in mind for the next change will save me quite a few bucks in fuel by not needing to drive from Powai to Shivaji Park.

re: Installed : Orchis seat covers in my pre-owned Civic

Looks brand new! Not very expensive for the quality of work done. VFM as they say!

BTW, the shot of the Civic's rear coupled with the interior snaps made me wonder if this was a new car i was looking at

As queried a couples of posts above, is this cost inclusive of the door pads? Something makes me think it isn't (you would have uploaded the snaps in that case)

Kedar, buddy what your post and pictures have partially done is get the Mumbai T-BHP junta excited about the prospect of (finally) unearthing a pretty cool yet affordable aftermarket leather store. I'm telling you this gentleman Mr. Shinde from Orchis is really going to appreciate your business in the weeks to come!!

Second set of pictures are even more impressive btw.

That is simply an awesome job and it really is too hard to believe that the damages were only of 7.5 K. You have been an awesome help in identifying people who do an amazing job. Now I know who to shout for when my new ride arrives - probably an i20 CRDI ASTA ABS or a Brio auto in Q2 next year.

No door pads are original.

Anytime Ahmed.I am also thinking of getting the armrest of my Fortuner in art leather, since I don't like the plastic arm rest.

Awesome work and Cheap too, These days both of these are hard to find together. I hope, they open their branch in Delhi. I'll get this done eyes closed in my car, It's very cheap man. Fit and Fitting is just OEM, maybe even better.

Cheers!

Excellent work, no question about it, and all of it at 7.5K makes it even more killer. Does art leather holds up, when compared to real leather?

From the look of it (At least in pictures, there is no way one can make out its not real leather.

Yes only 7,500Rs,I feel there is only 5% difference compared to genuine leather. Moreover genuine leather would had atleast costed 35,000Rs..I got it done at 1/4th price and it holds up pretty well.
