Ventilated Seats aftermarket?

Hello,

Curious is this possible? Can I added Ventilated seats (Cooled) to existing cars which do not have them? Cars like Brio etc?

Would love to know if such aftermarket seats are available?

Regards,

Otherwise, I remember coming across a Xenos product in my local accessory shop. It's like this.

It has a fan which draws the air when A/C is set to circulate to foot wells. Also an adapter sits in the power socket. Cost was around 1500-2k. Not sure about it's effectiveness though.

Honestly, haven't tried it. But I've come across it in my local accessory store. I'll learn if it's worth the money from the shop vendor ASAP.

I'm sorry,I meant I've personally experienced the service of the seller.

Anyways went to my local acc. shop, he says it's effective and there have been some decent number of takers for this product in our place.

Hey have you seen the product or tested it?? I am really looking for a cooled/ ventilated seat similar to the VW Passat 2011. Is the product only cooling your bottom or your lower back as well and is it fixed over or under the seat cover?? Sorry for asking so many questions but if its Rs.2,000/ odd then am quite interested.

1.I've seen it but not tested it.
2.The one on ebay cools the bottom only.
3.Placed over the seat/seat cover.
4.No no,it's fine. Happy to help.

But I've seen a xenos product which cools both bottom and back. It was around 1500 to 2000. But I cannot find it on their website. May be you should ask your acc.shop guy if he can get one. If you cannot find it,you may try buying 2 of them and strapping it onto the front seat to cool the back too(with elastic cloth?)

Just found this. The xenos one i'm talking about is EXACTLY like this but only 1500-2000.

Any updates on this??? Checked with some Opera House guys and they have absolutely no clue about anything like this.

I checked out eminenttismo's link but that product is around 8k and I was really interested in something around 2k. I just found the concept of putting it over the seat a little strange. I want something that I can place below the seat cover (hidden) and not visible or else it might just look cheap IMO.

Recaro manufactures ventilated seats. I vaguely remember reading about Methods as one of the resellers of Recoro in India.

Re: Ventilated Seats aftermarket?

all seats from factory are ventilated unless they are blocked by adding synthetic seat covers. All the fabric on the seat are designed to have sufficient friction between the fabric and the seat material. Addition of other layer of 'ventilation' will reduce this and may throw one off on hard breaking.
