Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Kerala has famously ruled the roost of modifications for while now, this might just be the epitome of sheer workmanship.

Below are pictures of three inch-perfect Merc G-Wagen replicas being made on a Bolero platform. The cars belong to three NRI friends and is currently nearing completion.

Even though certain core parts like the headlamps and windshield are actual G-Wagen parts, quite a lot has been locally fabricated. The rims should complete the job.

The work is being done by a famous design-house based in Kottayam who has previously done an R-Class replica on an Innova and a Mini Cooper on a Swift.

Pictures provided by a friend, Nicholas Anathanam.

G-Wagen inspired Bolero mods looks fab!!. This Mod's own country do a fabulous job on Jeeps, Type 2 City's, Skoda's, what not..

My cousin had one modded Mahindra classic bought from kerala and sold it out after using it for a year. Unfortunately no picture available with me.

Awesome modification. I always had this idea/wish to get a tata sumo modified into a G-Wagen look alike. Awaiting the final product pics and if possible, the project cost. I still somehow feel, working on Tata Sumo for a G-Wagen replica could have been easier/yielded a little better product(though the current look based on bolero looks no less).

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Found this Figo standing standing quietly in my office lot.
From far, it caught my eye due to the wrap.Up close, the wrap finish was not upto the mark, but I liked the color and the overall package except for the huge letters spelling FORD below the spot lamps.
Nevertheless, did not think it was whacky enough for another thread.

Regards

Kerala's G Wagen inspired Bolero is fantastic!, Can he convert a Sunny into the S Class?

Also, how did they manage to get the G Wagen's headlamp?

Interesting mode. Eagerly waiting to see the final product.

What will be the reaction of Mercedes after seeing this Bolero G-Wagen?

Fantastic man, undoubtedly has to be R&T . Can't think of anyone else who is capable of executing the job so well.

Not very tasteful. Looks like a piece of concrete IMO.

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Good Evening Team, I saw this PROAUTO MOD done FORD MONDEO at petrol filling station behind Noida stadium. I hope it matches to the "cream of the crop" expectations of my fellow mates here.

Thanks!

Wouldn't this cause any issues with MB?
Not that I want to rain on their party... that replica is incredible!

I think he that was inspired from the Ford SVT Raptor which has the same lettering at the front. As CD said, it looks like a piece of concrete, yet it's not wacky enough.

The Figo looks like it was wrapped by a 11 year old struggling with Attention Deficit Disorder. Even in these low resolution photographs, one can make out massive bubbles and alarmingly conspicuous color discontinuity all throughout.

The G-Wagen is simply awesome. Kurian has always done great works like the R Class innova, Invader, Willys CJ's, keep going man.

This is the invader that I was referring to int he previous thread.
