This Rapid in this page is definitely the best Rapid I have seen to date. I personally have never liked gold coloured alloys, but in this particular case, it seems to fit the car perfectly. The front seems to be much less attended to, compared to the rear, but that is the point to be noted while modding a car - never go overboard ;)

this rapid belongs to me

Kudos on the modifications. The car looks very beautifully put together.

I say this even though I never liked the design of the Rapid, But this one is something else.:thumbs up

Well modded. I believe those are monte carlo headlamps. Did you fit the ones for the Fabia considering the Rapid in the Europe is a different model altogether?

That black monte carlo grill lip does change the character of the car although it's just a strip.

Featured here is a TATA sumo GRANDE which was originally developed by TATA Motors alongside XENON sharing the same platform.
This project was awarded to us by TATA Motors to gauge public response for a more modern looking SUV based on the GRANDE, strict guidelines were given to only tamper with the soft body (i.e. bumper sections, grille, cladding etc.) without making any changes in the metal body sections as it would involve major development cost if any of our design cues were incorporated in the commercial production stage later. The main objective of this exercise was to study the possibilities on how to modernize the now dated looking GRANDE and make it look more urban, contemporary and SUV-ish rather than MUV-cab image it carries.
We are most grateful to TATA Motors and their supportive marketing team for deciding to use the local design talent available in the country and giving us this opportunity.
We have tried to give it a macho looking SUV look by re-designing the front bumper–grille combo, adding an innovative rear door embellishment and a fresh rear bumper as well. Floating side steps were fabricated with courtesy lighting incorporated in the un-missable brand tag “XENON” re-christened all over. Head lights - tail lights settings were re arranged using projectors and LEDs to be in-sync with today’s time. Ultramarine blue – matt grey combination was chosen to complete the look with blacked out original wheels and smoked glass house area.
We at Big daddy Customs seriously feel that GRANDE is the most under rated product in TATA’s stable, wouldn't it have been better if it was originally launched as a ‘xenon” three cab variant rather than associating the Sumo brand name with it? What’s your take?

Whilst I should give you full marks for effort and execution, IMHO, this could never pass off as an off-the-assembly line model. It looks like a mod job, a very loud one at that. I'm sure there will be some fans, but like someone else before me pointed out, such designs will lose its initial shock factor immediately and then it will start looking like an over the top model.

If TATA wants to actually make this vehicle look better, they can easily take cues from the RR Evoque. Considering that its a group company, I do not foresee too many copyright or patent issues either.

Neatly done and this car looks interesting! The way DRLs are done is just flawless.

Do you have details about the custom mods, and do you have any pictures of side profile, alloys?

That is one fantastic-looking ride! And it's a proper 4x4, not just a poser. A lot of the parts on the vehicle look like they've been custom built.

Do ask the owner/modifier to put up a detailed thread about the build on t-bhp. I'm sure that it'll turn out to be quite popular.:D

My friend's Type I Honda City.

Mods:
Front and rear bumpers, skirts, clear lens headlights, smoked tails lamps, lowering springs, full system exhaust, 17" rims shod with 40 profile tires.
My take on the mod: The best TYPE I mod I've ever seen.

Great mod job, but should have given a different look for the front other than the old armada face, but otherwise amazing job.

Raining hot cars from God's own country!
Armada is brilliantly done, kudos to the owner.

Here's a good looking Swift.
