That is looking wierd,it needs to be lowered.

Found this nicely spec'd Duster by Pete's on Facebook. I'd do without the fake discs at the back, but the rest of it is quite nice! Apparently, it now makes 140 horses!

Beautifully done Duster!!!Good Job.By the way 140bhp?Suhaas can u shed some light on the modifications???

Well, apart from some of the cosmetic mods like the roof-rack, and the Hellas up front, it's quite basic on the outside. The wheels have been upsized to 17" and the tires are now 225 section / 65 profile all-round.

The suspension has been upgraded with H&R Springs and the car is lowered by 35 mils.

The power has been bumped to 140 and that's courtesy a tuning-box I'm guessing.

4wd ?!

Somehow I doubt it. It might be equipped with a diff?

Every car got to have differential. They can't turn otherwise.

Obviously!

C'mon Samurai, you knew what I meant?! :)

I meant an additional differential. Could that be possible? I'm not an expert on the subject and hence the - ?

Actually No. Additional differential where?

Did you mean a Limited slip differential?

BTW 140 hp, are sure about those figures. If it is producing that much power then it won't be a simple tuning box job.

Oh, so 4WD cars have only one diff? I thought they had a minimum of two diffs (one at each axle) and maybe a central diff too?

If you want to send a FWD car's power / torque to the rear wheels, you could install a diff at the back as well, right? I'm not sure!

Maybe a LSD? I don't know, that's why I'm asking question but I'm not getting answers.

140 horses does sound a lot. That's 30 more than stock. I don't know if it's only a simple tuning box job. Maybe a flash? Your guess is as good as mine! Whatever information I've got was from the link in the original post.

Probably a sticker job. A full time 4wd conversion would involve a lot of mechanical changes to the entire drivetrain. But I hope i'm wrong and they've actually pulled it off! And in that case it would warrant a separate thread and many more pics.

Its just a badge available online in many places.

Nice job though, with the remap and suspension etc. Petes always does their cars well.

Don't know much about the technicalities w/r/t 4x4 and that's why I sounded like a noob earlier.

It is mentioned that the car's ride-height has been dropped by 35 mil. Could that be an indication that it's just a sticker job? Considering that the actual Duster 4x4 sold in the UK rides marginally higher than the run-on-the-mill 2wd variant?

Read this thread (especially initial posts) about how a 4wd system works and thus, how difficult it would be convert a 2wd to a full time 4wd.
