Nice and subtle mods! A set of 17 inchers would've made it truly drool worthy. And lovely colour too.. Didn't know that Laura came in grey

Hi Suraj. Didnt go for 17 inchers since i use this car on the highways so babying it a 100% of the time wont be possible. My merc is on 17 inch and i have to be extra careful with that. There are a lot of people running the 17 inchers without issues but i just didnt want to take a chance.

With 16 inch and a 55 profile tyre i get the requisite ride comfort without affecting stability in any manner.

The color is actually cappuccino beige. I guess the lighting and some PS makes her appear to be grey.

Cheers
Rohan

That is true. If its a highway car higher profile does provide piece of mind. We cracked a rim of our W204 C on the highway :Frustrati

Btw, are those vrs spoilers? Are they black or CF?

Yes that's the original VRS spoiler. Painted black. Was wrapped CF earlier. The roof has a black wrap too but that's not visible.

Rohan,

Where can one find the carbon fiber OVRM covers. Also where was the interior redone? Possible to get the seat covers from them and have them fitted in Mumbai?

Devansh

Hi Devansh

I got the covers from SuperSkoda. Link is below

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTA...or-covers-KI-R

Shipping was a breeze and i had them with me in 10 days.

The interiors were redone from a place called Connaught Care in Delhi. I am not sure if they would be able to ship to Mumbai. I had left the car with them for 3 days and the fitting and finish is impeccable. Look them up on facebook and drop in a message. Helpful guys!

Cheers
Rohan

Not sure if she qualifies to be on this thread, especially as most enhancements were DIYed.

Hello, That is an awesome looking Ecosport there. Are those headlamps also DIY? How did you get the LED strip in them? Is there any thread for the DIY headlamps?

Another good looking Xenon 3.0L 4x4. Belongs to my FB friend Nayan who's off on a Bangalore-Ladakh drive in it.

Thanks Vaibhav, Yes! the headlamps are DIY'd. Since there are multiple threads on headlamp mod/conversions, I didn't feel the need to add another. Here's a link that details a similar mod:

I am glad that you noticed the strip inside the headlamps, I was actually looking to replicate (DIY) Audi/Merc style DRL setup using fibre optics coupled with high powered CREE LEDs. This setup is different than the flex LED strip DRLs you would have seen on other modded car headlamps like

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/car-s...332956688.html.

See below the only available online guide for this setup:

http://www.suzuki-forums.com/2g-2006...-lights-7.html

While the installation was easy (ecosport headlamps have a slot to slide the flex fibre in) the output wasn't to my expectations due to quality/choice of materials(listed below)

1. LED - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10W-W...060206526.html

2. Driver - http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6...64798310296994

3. Fibre - http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6...65254092846994

I am trying a few other light sources with smaller illumination angles and will surely do a thread once it meets the quality I am looking for

Maybe its just function taking over form, but the soft cover doesn't suit the xenon IMHO.

May I please request you to share few pictures of it on the Ladakh drive? I am getting goosebumps imagining how much of a fun it will be to pilot this brute on those circuits. Roads, no roads, boulders, it shall conquer everything.

Didn't like the placement of fire extinguisher.
