Corolla Automatic: What Performance?

My friend owns a corolla automatic 1.8 with K&N filter and exhaust... what are the ways he can compete with manual cars like skoda RS..?

He doesnot need to boost power. He needs to upgrade wheels to 17inchers and then reduce the height of the car. The Corolla can beat a RS but it needs good aeros to do that.

he's already got 17 inchers.. with 215/90..its an "Automatic"!!
the body kit is also done up by arush...

Is that the same one which has the same colour as the cadillac white of the Optra?

A automatic four cylinder car cant easily beat a Manual one.

It's a bit less than impossible for the corolla Automatic to beat Skoda RS.

Since you modding a corolla it will come in modified class and a modified RS will beat it crazy so no use comming near because the Corolla Auto doesnot use DSG, it will be slower then manual

Ok we actually tied this. a freind of mine got auto corolla. his contention was that automatic cars are faster as the automatic gearbox is smarter than most drivers and can change at the "right RPM". etc...

Lucky for him I was in a good mood. Not only did the RS beat the corolla in a drag but also in braking. The judges were our wives.

U can get bolt-on supercharger/turbo kits for the 1.8 VvTi engine.

Will cost upwards of 2 lakhs.

actually auto corolla is also slower than the smaller lancer invecs. optra engine is old and less on refinement hence hets beaten.

you said you got your corolla made by arush. Why not ask him what can be done about the corolla a/t?

Junk the box, get a manual, lower it, use higher OD wheels, learn how to drive, and enjoy the sight of the RS in your rearview.
