I have a very rare case here.

I have original leather sheets with me. I just want to get it stitched for my car. I have got a few quotes from some dealers in Sion, Koliwada. most of them around 7k, includes the cost of stitching, additional foam required and fitting.

But I am not sure if they will get the job done up to the mark.

If you guys know any vendor in Mumbai who is good at stitching leather and is reliable, please let me know.

There is a white Polo 1.6 on Team BHP, owned and modded very tastefully by fellow member 'Bhagwan'. Several components and features of the car were fabricated and customized according to his taste, including the seats and seat-covers. He is put up in Mumbai, and all the contact details are in the thread.

Suggest you check with Orchis. Have seen really good work from them. They do both Orig and Art Leather Seat covers work from their own stock. They have factory located in Kailash Complex, Vikhroli (W). Just search for their site and check with them. They may be able to do the job.

One of my friend who does Leather/Suede wrapping for my ICE layouts is well in doing up complicated stuff,he used to work with stanley earlier,now started his venture.I can inquire with him,as these guys have done up cars like BMWs/Mercs/Hondas.Also u can be with him and monitor your stitching in comfort and get it fully custom made

I got my seat covers done from Orchis too , the owner is a nice man , he will only be satisfied if you are , just tell him your a team bhp member and give him my reference , a few members have got their seat covers done from him too. check the link below .

Best part is they will stitch it front of you , he has a good work force of around 20 people ( ample of space in the small factory , no tension of parking )

I can vouch for Orchis too, they do a fantastic job. Stitching of course is important, but the key is fitting and they have skilled manpower who do neat fitting.

Just got call from Orchis. Spoke to Mr.Anil. The guy seemed to be very genuine. He has not given me any quote, as he has not seen the leather.

Does the cost of stitching vary with the thickness of the leather??

I paid 9k for door pads(art Poppy nappa leather ) , steering and the horn covered in (pure leather) , seat covers (art poppy nappa leather ) , did you mention your a member ?

I can recommend Orchis in Powai. Had got the seat covers done for my Punto from them. Very professional work but do not stick to the time commitment. You can check them out on their website too. T-BHPians do get a discount.
