Re: The Baleno Makeover

Ramesh, I have always adored your work (from what you have posted on this forum) and love the small and subtle modifications you do here and there which need to be looked hard to identify. That is something what the great Chip Foose does too and let me compliment you by saying that you have the capability of being the Indian Chip Foose.

There are several people in the car modification business but your work by far seems to be much more than slap on body-kits and a paint job. I love the lines and attention to detail in your work. Keep it up. I may have preferred a cool custom metallic blue paint job on this car over the red but well to each his own. Keep up the good work.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Ramesh, Where are the final full set of pictures? We all have waited with bated breath to see the results of the painstakingly handpicked custom job that you had undertaken for your Baleno over the past few months. In my opinion, the headlights, the paint quality and the overall front-end looks terrific. Can't wait to see the whole car.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

if the final color is that of the bonnet in the last picture, then

From the beginning i felt the interlagos/darker shade of the bmw blue would have suited it more but thats just me.

Only one word - Amazing!!

I agree with a few others that the rear is a bit loud but overall, the car is a beauty! Definitely a head turner.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Looks great.

Front end is really looking awesome.
Rear has some great lines but when compared to the front, looks a bit toned down.
May be because the lights and the fins in the rear stand out more than those clean lines.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

r.k.ramesh- wow is the word for the color, paint job, front end and over all make over of the baleno, but cant say the same thing about the rear end, i found the fins too big for a baleno, otherwise amazing job , congrats dude.

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Stunning, awesome is the word. Could you please post more pictures of this beauty in this thread. Bigger picture please from all angles.

Also you are in Bangalore, where did you get all this done? If possible please PM how much did it cost. Being a owner of Baleno i am interested in getting something done on similar lines.

Bloody Awesome! The front end is terrific though I don't quite like the bulge in the hood. The rear, as most othere here feel, is a bit loud for my tastes. Nevertheless, your car is a head-turner man! Whereever you go, you can rest assured that everybody will be watching your ride.

Absolutely fantastic there buddy! i like the front a lot and little bit toning down might have worked wonders at the rear.
but these inferences are from the pictures, in flesh it might actually look good, hope to see it on the road some day

congrats there and big thumbs up

Re: The Baleno Makeover

Looking nice.

May be next upgrade can be to make the steering wheel red and black to go with the overall theme.
How about red mood lights under the dash and under the seats?

Do post some more exterior pics and and if possible night time pics of the tail lamps in action

Re: The Baleno Makeover

R.K.:- The car looks Awesome in the pictures. I am sure it would look equally good in flesh also.
My 2 cents:- The DRL's look like they will fall off and do not match with the look of the car. If they were kind of moulded inside that mesh they would look mind-blowing. This is keeping in mind all the other Visual features of the car, the DRL's look out of place, especially compared to those A+ headlights.
Also, the tail lights would look good, if you Darken the area around the lights(Black or Smoked Effect). This would not only enhance the looks of the car, it would also highlight the tail lamps when they glow in day-llight also matching the looks of the car. Something like in the image( I am no PS expert, this was all i could do ).

Egarly awating larger cleaner pictures to have a look at the beauty so that i can decide about doing something on similar lines. Looking at what you have done i feel like keeping my Baleno for long long time.

Need to see more pictures of the front, rear and insides. Did you do some mods in the engine/other critical stuff inside or its just the exterior looks?

How does the car drive now overall as compared to how it was when new?
