A friend just updated, seeing my post, that this is not VJ’s car.
So this is a new one.

W123s had dual wipers. W124's had that cool single wiper, and yep that would be an awesome finishing touch!

Are you sure?
HOW (and why on earth) could it be based on a Nano?

With these Pics of the ultimate import of India, I would like to start this thread.
Did not blank the number plate because these pics are doing duty on the net.

Why o Why,a better donor car could have been chosen for the job. |
Umm , Akshay i may be wrong but what the delhi people have told me is that the VJ's Bugatti replica is based on a Nano's Chassis .. The Engine used in it is from something else . Somebody else wanna throw some light on this ?
Phew looking at the pics I was wondering what happened top the classy fit and finish of the Veron.. then read the next post ohh its a replica... hahahahahaha, the interiors just look plain jane.wonder what car is it made on?

I was so told, not too sure though. I think Speedy can shed more light into it.
The new one, I think, is based on a Civic, look at the AT gear selector.

Its a replica. Discussion on same is already on going in another thread.
Veyron is not made in RHD.
@mods. Pls merge this |
Oops My wrong i enjoyed the pics so much that i did omit its right had car and after much research i found out that its a Honda Civic.
But still there will be many more pics of imports coming in some days.
Though gear indicator is surely suggesting that it could be based on the civic but then why it doesn't have the non conventional different direction movement wipers? One explanation could be the size of the windshield of the replica.
It would be great if the building process of replica and more details about it can be documented here.
Jasmeet, see if you can get some more details of this replica as its based out of CG.
The wing mirrors and the A-pillars, along with the gear lever are clear hints that the base car is a Civic but the wiper placement is just the confusing bit. However, this replica is too well executed to fool people and convince them that this is indeed a 20Cr car even though it must have cost 1/100ths of its actual price.
Superb workmanship!!clap:
Just got the following information from Facebook, now this very much explains the civic like AT selector and non civic type wipers.
"Registered Number CGxxxxxxxx Registration Date 20/09/2011
Name of Owner M/S xxxxxxxx INDUSTRIES LTD Year of Manufacture 2010
Father/Husband Name NA Class of Vehicle LMVCAR L.M.V. (CAR)
Type of Body SALOON Color T. WHITE
Maker's Name HONDA SIEL CARS LTD Fuel Used PETROL
Engine No. L15A7122xxxx Chasis No. MAKGM253JANxxxxxx
Maker's Classification PASS. CAR CITY 1.5 Fitness Valid Upto 19/09/2026"
Interestingly this family has many more cars i.e. imports, A Volvo S60, Mercedes E, BMW X5.
And tops the list is their first replica of Rolls Royce Phantom with 7777 registration number.
Amazing job done. Does anyone know who did the mod job?
Hats off!!
I read on FB that this was based on the old Accord, that looks doubtful given the pic with the S class; it ain't that broad.
With the details Bandhav has posted, the mystery is almost solved.
But a little off the discussion, aren't there are laws that prohibit replicating a vehicle's design? Even the simplest of curves are registered these day right, so this is technically illegal?
This is a quite decent attempt, I would argue, with non petrol heads barely noticing the subtle differences. Any pointers on who is the man behind execution of this mod?
