Hi Guys,

We are planning to buy E350CDI Avantgarde and We have an option to get AMG Body Kit & 5 Double spoke AMG 18" wheels install on it.. the wheel will be in staggered arrangement. I havent seen the kit or the wheels on new E class so please help me decide if its a good option.

Please post some Images if you guys have of E Class shodded with AMG Body Kit with AMG wheels.

Exterior

Encourage the sporty side of the E-Class with the optional AMG sports package, which includes among other things - apart from the AMG Styling package with front and rear aprons and side skirts - 18-inch 6-twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels and a sporty suspension set-up.

On the technical side, the AMG sports package makes its mark with a lower-slung chassis and perforated front brake discs along with Mercedes-Benz lettering on the front brake calipers – they not only look incredibly sporty, they also deliver outstanding braking performance when called upon.



Interior

The AMG sports package adds a dynamic dimension to the interior. The driver and front passenger sports seats boast excellent lateral stability, for example. The seats come upholstered as standard in black DINAMICA microfibre/ARTICO man-made leather. The seats and door/centre console armrests feature light-coloured double topstitching. A sporty driving feeling also comes courtesy of the AMG 3-spoke sports steering wheel with DIRECT SELECT gearshift paddles for manual gear changes (automatic transmission only) and the brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs.

We had lot of E300's with AMG sports package in our parking lot, now it's the ML350 season. The twin 5-spoke 18" alloys looks better on the car than the twin 6-spoke ones. You will also get twin chrome rectangular tail pipes integrated in the rear bumper.

I dont think it includes any kind of Badge/Logo that will be changed on the car

For rim - 2Lac
As per the info they will be typical twin 5 spoke wheels
For Kit - 2.5 Lac
As per the info it will include Front, Side and Rear Apron.

The dealer will send me the pics of Car running the kit and wheel. Once I have them I will share it with you guys.

I Think AMG Body Kit package is different than the package you mentioned since it doesnt contain revised Suspension setup, Bigger Brakes etc. It only contains Revised Front, Side and Rear Aprons.
I might be wrong.

Hi Guys Following are the images of the Front/Rear/Side aprons and Wheels that I am interested in.

On our cars we have never installed any body kit. So here is my Novice question - When they install the AMG kit will they remove the complete front and rear bumper and put the AMG one?

Another Quesiton is will the ride become too harsh with 245/40 R18 in front and 265/35 R18 at Rear?

We are trying to get Diamond white color instead of Cacite White. But dealer is telling us that it only comes in S Class eventhough on MBIL website it is shown for E class as well. Any info on it will be appreciated.

Personally I think on Delhi roads you will be fine with 18"s on the E. And it will also make your car unique.

@manu: My bad, I thought you were getting the AMG sports package. Body kit will only have the visual enhancement. The entire front + rear bumpers will be changed, side skirts will be added to the running boards and wheels + tires will be changed. The AMG body kit can be ordered while booking the vehicle, in this case it will be done from the factory. Dealer does it if the vehicle is already with them. In your case, it might be the dealer doing it and that can be the reason why they are not offering you a Diamond White, they might be having a Cacite White already in their stock.

It's good to check directly with MBIL for the Diamond white on E-class.

+1 to what akshay said, 18" wheels looks good on the E and will complete the AMG kit look.

Thanks for helping me jaguar.runs. I wish we could order the complete AMG Sports Package here in India. Only AMG kit is available here.

Can we also order perforated Brakes with Mercedes Benz written on Calipers, I think its part of AMG Sports Package?

@Manu: You can order the brake kit as there is a separate part number for brake kit (if the dealer accepts your order), but will cost you around 800 EUR.

I would suggest not going for the brake kit as it is too expensive. As it is a service item, it will cost you more in the long run too.

Guys.. Good News.. Booked E350 CDI white with chestnet interiors and RSES, AMG wheels. Dad was little skeptical about the AMG kit since it was to be installed at the dealership and he wanted complete stock car from the factory :( so only AMG wheels)

Will be getting delivery in 1st week of march. will keep you guys posted..

I just spoke to a friend at Mercedes Benz. He confirmed about the AMG kit being fitted at the dealership and not the factory. The wheels will also be fitted at the dealership. MAke sure they are not scratched though. Enjoy the car, she is a dream to drive. Especially with the ESP off. :P
