Buying a used Volvo XC40

I'm skeptical about the following:
  1. Long term support for the Diesel engine from Volvo and availability of parts. The model has been discontinued now
  2. Govt regulations. I don't think it's BS-6 compliant so uptil when would I be able to use the car?
The owner is quoting a price ~26 lakh. Is this a good buy?

re: Buying a used Volvo XC40

IMO, Diesel restrictions may kick-in Bangalore in a couple of years. If the vehicle is BS4, i would probably give it 5 more years at a minimum. Parts availability through the dealer network should not be a problem but might not be readily available on the shelf i.e. you might have to wait for the parts to be imported. Would be the same case if you're considering the FNGs and planning to source through them.

Tbh, 26 lakhs does seem like a good deal provided it has chalked up decent kms, has been serviced at the dealer and has no apparent red-flags like it being a demo/flood vehicle etc.
