Not exactly. The first free service for Altis Petrol is recommended after 1 month/1000 km (same as Civic). 2nd and 3rd free services are after 12/24 months or 10K/20K whichever is sooner. Paid service intervals thereafter I believe are at 6 months/5K km intervals.

Do I see an inconsistency - free services at 10k/12 month intervals, paid thereafter at 5k/6 month intervals!

I stand corrected - the intervals are 12 months/10K km for every paid service.

Yes, for all petrol vehicles. For diesel, it is 1/6/12 for free services and subsequently 6 mo/5K for every paid service.

Hmm. So it's an intentional 'bug' introduced by Honda? I have similar discrepancies, varying from 1 to 1.5kmpl.

Mine for the last 1,350 kms was nearly the same at 12.3 kmpl.
It was Tuticorin->Chennai->Tiruvannamalai->Tuticorin.
Mostly good 4-lane but also very bad ones and includes city driving.

Got the fourth service (first paid) today. Invoice is attached. Cost Rs.850+87.55 service, 454.50+62.36 for LH door mirror insert.

Very satisfied - went in at about 9:30, out at 12:00.

Distance since last service: 2569. Consumption 11.09kpl.

Re: Honda Civic V AT Alabaster Silver

Fifth service. Only 100 odd km in six months. Go the Idemitsy 0W30 Synthetic. Missed out on refusing the waste, i.e. Nitrogen fill.
Total cost 4270 out of which 3000 is accounted for by the oil & filter. There was some minor underbody damage due to rubbing, which took off some clips. Fuse was due to a defective old Car Fridge. Rs.1270 is very reasonable.

Car seems to have run in as the indicated kpl has suddenly gone up from 8.4 to 9.4. My experience is that the consumption improves all of a sudden, and not gradually as one may expect.

Will keep track and report.

Re: Honda Civic V AT Alabaster Silver

sgiitk, can I suggest to edit the picture. Your address, phone number are all visible.

And about 100kms in 6 months, do you see any difference in driving characteristics with such low usage?

1. Maybe true, I was horrified when I was getting 8.5 kmpl when new.
After about 10 months I started getting 15+ kmpl (reason is also due to change in driving habits and the fact that I was getting older and wiser! ).

2. My usage is the inverse, did 95K in 4 years and 5 months.

My car's 5th service is due. Do you notice any perceptible difference with the synth oil?

Re: Honda Civic V AT Alabaster Silver

I used Idemitsu 20W50 on my earlier car - good oil.

How could you have covered just 100kms in six months? It looks like a typing error;should be 1000 I guess.

EDIT:just saw both your invoices :kms6109 minus kms 5085 means a little over 1000 kms
