In the Endy, you can move from 2H to 4H and back on the fly, but for moving to and from 4L, you need to stop, shift to neutral (which unlocks the hubs, I believe) and then do the 4H to 4L and vice versa change.

Endy is not full time 4WD.

Also, for disengaging from 4L, there is no need to get in reverse.

This is as per my understanding and experience, I should admit I have not really gotten into the technical details to try figure out the "truth".

Have updated the other thread too...

Had a short one-day trip to Bhuleshwar this weekend, check my thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...huleshwar.html for details and some nice pictures.

Here's a video of us off-roading in the hills around the Bhuleshwar temple.

And here we are, setting up for a photo shoot

I think it would look even better if you get the rear spoiler and yeah removing the running boards will really help to clib the stairs...
Nice machine there my friend.

Siddhesh -> Do you have a video of going through the slush (excellent picture in the independent bhuleshwar thread)? It would sure make a lovely sight and I am sure Ford would want to borrow it from you

Nullrock, thanks! Yes, I need to do some changes to exploit her offroad, but she's too much of a baby right now You think the spoiler will look good? I have been meaning to get one, but Ford didn't have one, and I haven't found a good non-standard one yet. Do you think the ladder adds to the look? I kinda like it, but every Endy seems to have one these days.

I need to go there again...!

Was in Dapoli this weekend at my cousin's farmhouse, and it was the perfect opportunity for some off-roading. Here are some pictures - videos following soon!

Siddesh, those are some nice pics and videos of the Endeavour. Somehow, i feel the butch looks have been sacrificed as the years passed, but it still has good road presence.

On a lighter note, here are some water wading and wave bashing pics i did with my sedan. Ofcourse, no rock climbing there!

Even I feel the older Endy had the attitude of DONT MESS WITH ME. Somehow this new Endy more or less seems to be gentleman's beast but the older one was THE BEAST unleashed

Siddhesh, some truly amazing pictures. Be warned though; driving through water makes for amazing pics, but can destroy your vehicle. The starter and alternator, especially, hate water and don't even get me started on what'll happen if your air intake were to take in some. I don't even drive my SWB Jeep through water.

In addition to GTO's warning, also consider this is salt water. It can start corroding your underbody and disk brakes pretty fast. Thorough pressure wash after every beach drive is a must. I think I forgot to do it couple times. Now I have heavy corrosion in GV's disk brakes.

On my recent drive to Kerala, I was very tempted to go to Muzhapillangad beach and take a drive since it is drive in beach but one look at the underbodies of lorries which ply on it sealed my thoughts.

Now, since you have driven it, I would suggest a very thorough underbody inspection, and an oil spray so that it goes to certain corners where it is not possible to inspect the damage if any visually.
