I got it from FORD.
The Invoice price is Rs.4800 + Tax Rs.578.11 = total Rs.5378.11
(Initially Dealer quoted the price as Rs.5050 inlucing the strip+ paint+
painting charges)
So, I presume Rs.8000 is bit high for the same product.?

Take a look at the accessories price list here. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post1575982

Body side beading with chrome is 4950/-
Body side beading with chrome+body color painting is 7050/-

What does the second one mean? Why would someone buy chrome beading and paint it body color?

Body side moulding - normally it comes with a base colour (actually no colour) with a chrome line and one has to paint it as per colour of the car (body colour).
After painting it according to the body colour of the car, it looks like the body colour stripe with a chrome lining. (the photograph posted previously).

Pics of my Platinum Beasta

Guys,

I have attached the pics of my Fiesta. I hope you would like it. I am sorry in advance if the photo quality is not what you guys had expected. I hardly got time to click, but promise will do so at the earliest available oppurtunity. The door scuff plate photos are taken from mobile, so pls bear with me abt the quality.
There are couple of irritating things I noticed in the Fiesta.
1) The front door rubber linings are attached to the body rather than to the door. This causes frequent rubbing of the linings and may result in improper door sealing. Also the rubber bears the mud marks while ingress & egress.
2) The Boot opens very fast, Is this normal or Should I ask the dealer to reduce the speed of opening.
3) The Instrument panel display remains illuminated through out the night. Is there some way to diminish the same.
4) The front mats provided have serrations which cause my footwear to get stuck during the clutch release. Anybody experience this?
5) Does anybody have the optimum Ac settings so that I dont have keep switching the AC ON/OFF too often. I have seen the AC cooling fast and heating fast enough.

Expert advise needed.

Nice photographs.

IMO:
-the steering cover looks not good, it spoiling the beauty of the wheel

-Instrumental panel light remain illuminated all the night?
if it is illuminating throught that means it should happen during day time
also? I still not clear which panel light you are referring - is that the
square one which shows running mileage(odometer) tripmeter and DTE?
If yes - then this light will go automatically after 15 minutes from the
time you switch off the ignition and close all doors.
Incase you are talking about a small round light which keep flashing once
you switch off the engine? This is meant for arming of engine immobiliser. It is an automatic function and active once you have switched the ignition off. The indicator in the instrument cluster will flash and it will be there until you switching on the ignition again.
-front mats : are you talking about the leather mat or the rubber mat?
-boot opening: when you press the boot lid opening switch on the dash
board or on the key, the lid opens immediately with small thud sound.
but I found this is normal and no harm ?

Nice photos!

Your steering wheel cover looks like an eyesore. It does not gel well with the interiors in my opinion. Get the original Ford ones if possible.

The small green square on the instrument panel and the ICE clock switch off a few minutes after the car is locked. Does not stay on the whole day.

As for optimum AC settings, it's trial and error. Blower speed, temperature and air flow direction all need to be fiddled with depending on the outside temp. I keep the blower in hands and feet and blower speed to 2. When it gets cold, switch to 1. When it is still cold, I start turning the blue slowly towards red.

@nair sir,

Thanks for the response abt pics quality.

Regarding the leather wrap, I had asked for the Biege with black but was not available at that time with dealer, hence this temporary arrangement. Will be getting it replaced once the other cover comes.
I was refering to the Instrument cluster display which shows the Odo, DTE etc. When I checked today morning the display was bright even before inserting the key for ignition. Hence the query.
The floor mats are of rubber and have serrations which is actually causing me difficulty during clutch retraction/release.
The boot opens with that click sound, but when I open the boot completely, it simply opens fast. Maybe its the case of getting used to the boot opening.
Can you kindly comments on the rubber linings also please, Do you feel it is an issue?

It comes on the moment you unlock the car. Peep inside the car before unlocking. It should be off.

=Instruement cluster light: As soon as you open the door, the light comes
but you will see only the total mileage counter (DTE and Tripmeter will
only be active once you insert the key and turn it to acc position?).
After engine off and closing the door - you just check this panel (after
15 minutes of closing the doors)-peep inside car through the window
glasses (as gilead correctly said), you will find no light in the panel.
Check and confirm
=rubber lininng: I think it is there in my car also, so dont think much
of a problem.

I think it comes on as soon as you open the door, and not when you unlock it.

BTW, welcome to the club, Ghodlur. I was wondering why you got the bottle insert rings covered on the rear folding armrest.

Guys,

Thanks for reponses to my queries.
I will definitely check the Display light after & before the car lock/Unlock.

@Vnabhi - Actually I had asked the seat cover guy to cut the cup holder section. It seems he missed it and even I did not notice since the arm rest is covered with zippers and flap. But will get it done.

Can some advise what is best way to prevent the carpet at the rear from getting soiled esp the hump section in the centre. I enquired abt one floor mat set which has the protection for the hump but costs rs 1150 for the entire set i.e front floor mats+rear complete mat+dicky mat? Should I go for this? Again the colour of the mat is beige.

Gentlemen,

I think my Fiesta has a wheel alignment problem. I have been observing for the past couple of days when driving on highways, the vehicle tends to steer to left. The speed is nominal @ 60KMPH. Is it because the tyres were changed to Michelin but same size. I suppose Ford must have got the wheel balancing done before fit up. I called up the exec for the problem but he confirmed that wheel balancing was done. I will be showing him the issue this saturday. Would anyone spare a thought for the reason?

In one of your photo shows that you have rubber mat on the floor ?
I have bought ford original leather floor mat and Rubber boot mat plus again rubber mat for the floors which will save the leather mat from getting dirty with mud and soil.

I am sure this is an alignment issue, on a level road even if you don't hold the wheel the car should go straight for few meters atleast, it shouldnt drift either side, I too faced the same issue. I don't think the Ford guys did the alignment right. Force them to do it again (looks like you got the delivery recently) or spend 350 bucks and get it done at a good tyre shop. In my case the Ford guys took my car to a tyre shop and they took care of the expense. All the best.
