My Fiat Linea is getting pampered with US goodies!

My son, who arrived in Bangalore this morning from Thousand Oaks, Ca, USA, brought some car care products for me - oops, for my Fiat Linea.

The original California Car Duster. I love the shining wooden handle. I already have its desi version Jopasu car duster, which is kept in my Fiat Linea's boot always for use outside Bangalore [dynamic!]. The California Car Duster will remain at the garage for use in Bangalore [static!].

For details, please see post # 1986 in this link:

My Fiat Linea's FE figures

My Fiat Linea's best mileage figures:

The best FE achieved on a highway between Hosur and Krishnagiri on NH 7 with sedate driving, 4 occupants and ACC @ 20 deg C: 18.1 kmpl

The best FE achieved in Bangalore city driving at 1:11 pm with 4 occupants and 20 deg C: 11.6 kmpl

The highest speed achieved on Mumbai - Pune Expressway with 4 occupants and ACC at 20 deg C: 180 kmph

I am fully satisfied with my Fiat Linea's FE, power and performance.
  (1) Thanks

My Fiat Linea recorded its best FE of 23.3 kmpl

My Fiat Linea recorded its best FE of 23.3 kmpl during my Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore one-day trip on 10 April 2010 between Krishnagiri and Vellore on NH 7/46 consistently with sedate driving of 70 to 80 kmph, 5 occupants and ACC at 20 deg C. Amazing FE, I should say!

J. Ravi, so this reaffirms that 1.4 is truly gem of an engine witch is best tuned for power, performance and fuel efficiency.
This is what I achieved from this engine for short distance of 23 km, I would have achieved more but that was the distance I had to go at the highway.

jacksons,

Oh, the same magic figure of 23.3 kmpl again! Great. I fully agree with you that Fiat Linea has a perfect and optimum blend of power, performance and FE. Congratulations.

That is very good numbers when it comes to kmpl. By the way, with sedate driving within the city, how much are you able to extract from the 1.4 FIRE Engine?

It depends on the traffic, one day I achieved 17 kmpl for the distance of 32 km in the 40 minutes, other day I covered 15 km in 2 hours because of traffic jam and the FE was 8.9 kmpl.
You can't judge FE in the city for the multiple reasons but with the help of MID, we know why is this FE or that FE.
