Update at 52 months and 70,000 Kms
Nothing much to report. The beast is running trouble free "
All is Well". [touch wood]
Went for two road trips to "Keoladeo National Park" & "Maha kumbh Mela" in March.
Delhi - Allahabad - Delhi drive as awesome. Apart from Firozabad there is no bottleneck.
We did 800 odd kms in 9.5 hrs.

Update @ 58 Months and 73000 kms update..
My Safari usage is now mostly limited to outstation drives only. My other cars and office cars are more used for day to day running.
No problems to report. We did couple more drives between May & Oct
1. Nahan - May 13
2. Adventurous drive to Yamunotri & Gangotri - June 13
3. June - Quick trip to Ranthambhore - June last week.
4. August - Trip to Shokalia village, Nasirabad Rajasthan - To see Lesser Florican
5. October - 2nd Week - Trip to Naukuchia Taal, Nainital Uttrakhand
My Safari went for routine service today. This is the first time my Safari being services at an FNG. Thanks to GD1418 for giving me contact of Mr Rakesh of Rakesh Motors @ near Atul Khataria Rd,Gurgaon. Advantage Mr Rakesh has a big Spare parts shop and Garage. So no issues for spares. I got most of the parts at a reasonable discounted price.
Voluntary Change : I changed the Sedimenter Assembly in this service.
Sedimenter Assembly : 2300/- (MRP 2694)
Mobil Delvac Super 1300 - 1800/-
Rest all standard filter - Air and Engine oil filter. Didt change the diesel fuel filter as i changed the Sedimenter.
Service & Washing Charges : Rs 750/-
Greasing - 150/-
Total bill = Rs 6000/-
Safari : 5 yrs plus and 77000/- kms
My safari has been running trouble free since last service.
Changed my stepney tyre to Michelin latitude cross. Stock Bridgestone was like brandnew but dot was Oct,2008. Got the new tyre for 6100/-. Mrp was aroud Rs 8400.
Clutch and Suspension are still healthy.
Brake pads may last another 10k. Would change it in next servce.
Bought a Bike carrier from Local cycle shop for Rs 3500/-. It fixes easily around the stepney tyres. I have carried 2 bikes without any issue.
Road Trips : Couple of trips to Bharatpur in Feb & March.
Drive to Patal Bhuvaneshwar in June.

Just went through the thread again after a log gap. You have maintained details and update very well. Amazing photos as well, sply of hills, valleys and Allahabad kumbh pics. Coolant leak diagnosis was really very educative.

Black beast is in top shape with no major issues to report. Today the beast completes six years with us. Now Odo at 85k.
Will compile some photos of our road trip and update soon.

Service Done at @ Delta Vehicle Support Gurgaon , Opposite Tau Devi Lal Bio Diversity Park.
Remarks : Good small setup, ideal if you visit on a week days.
I got my vehicle by 1.30 pm dot. Was there at 10 am.

Any specific reason that you went back to TASC from a FNG?
I am keenly following your thread, have a 2.2 Dicor and have done 64k kms in 2.5 years.
@Ajit : Nothing particular as such as it was a routine service plus I intend to use both alternatively just to keep service record up to date with TML.
Also I wanted to check the health of timing belt too.. For specialised works TASS is better.
Update as on July 15
1. Got the disk and pad changed from FNG. Costed 6k including labour. Whole work took 2.5 hrs.
2. Driver side tie-rod replaced. (boot was damaged)
3. Got the tyre changed. Michelin had done 38k only. As i got a killer deal for Maxxis AT 255/65/r16 tyres. Sold Michelin for 11k on OLX :)
Led Bar - Addition
I was looking for upgrading my beast's Head light , was indecisive to HID's or Projectors. Both were costing in the rage of 15 - 20k. Then i came across Aurora Led bars. The lumen was just like camera flash. The calmed range is about 1000 mtrs.

My black beast went for the schedule service at Arya motors , Gurgaon.
Recommended. Professional and timely delivery.
No major problem reported. Asked to change the timing kit , alternator and ac belt. Also to change gear oil.
