T+ 9 Days

The beast and the master are doing really well.

No natak in starting at -2 or -4 degrees even. No Hiccups..nothing.. except a puncture where in the foot pump proved its metal

Officially the vehicle has completed 158xx kms.

The onward journey was peaceful and tommorow we start back.
Have right now completed the J&K leg and typing it out from an uncles place.

The minor report itself seems interesting, so the detailed will be a bomb.

Pre-Launch Checks:

Pre launch checkups were completed on Sunday.

TASS checked every nook and crany of the engine. Some major stuff were checked and replaced which may have caused issues during the trip. (more details with pics on that when i am back next year).
As promised, TASS wanted to check the condition of the timing belt, pulleys etc post retro just to be sure. However, fate as they call was on my side when they discovered that the inner cover and the outer cover was cracked. (Apparently even post retro fitment of the timing belt, TML came out with a even modified cover) as in my case the nut rivets got freed up and it had to be broken apart to replace complete inner + outer cover plus checking of the pulleys etc.

Now for all that you would like to know, the below picture shows what all were replaced.

Post trip check up of vehcile had only a minor diesel leakage from HPC. A thread was tightened and no further leakage was noticied.

However, A error code was P1193 was erased, which has to be looked out in next few hundred kms, if it reappears.

Rs.500 was spent on tyre rotation, balancing and realignment.\

The thread has been started with details Hope you enjoy

Amazing FE

Now a FE of 12.5 -13 KMPL with a/c usage of 50%, that too in Pune's stop / go is amazing.

I owe this to the manual and adhere to the speed limits mentioned therein. I make clean catcon as per manual again, every 3 days, by revving to 3-3.5k rpm and then letting it cool down for another 3-4 mins before final shutoff. (Now dont flame me for that.. flame the manual )

Oh.. btw I just noticed that 19000kms mark just completed.
Life becomes a little boring when you have to just fill diesel and drive away...Am I dreaming too much ?
