Yes, the beam length is good for 300meter range.. I puposefully put them down to avoid oncoming traffic to get blinded.

our headlamps form this patter W whereas these individual lamps create V V so i am trying to form a |/\| at a distance of 80 meters, which i feel would suffice.. Above would let me see the road corners more effectively duirng rains and fogs and night driving.

Suggestions are welcome

The good news is that the fabrication of the above illustration is under progress and would be ready in a day or 2 so that would put the lights below by half a feet which can then cause a good parallel spread.

If you know a fabricator in Hyd, maybe you can follow the specs in the pdf file.

Cost should be approx 600-800 mostly.

A song

I like this song very much and here I go again dedicating a few lines to my steed

The song is Tum Mile ~

Khwaabon bina, nigahen meri jee rahin thi
Koi nahin tha yeh akeli meri thi zindagi

Khamosh tha honthon pe baatein nahin thi
Koi nahin tha yeh akeli meri thi zindagi

Tum mile toh mil gaya yeh jahaan
Tum mile toh har pal hai naya
Tum mile toh sabse hai… faasla
Tum mile toh jaadu chaa gaya
Tum mile toh jeena aa gaya
Tum mile toh maine paaya…......

Free Gift won when I purchased Safari

After 5 long months of writing and writing and writing to the Sales Guys of Tata Motors, finally I got the gift which I had won through scratch card.

Though the gift costed 4500/- and guess what due to TERMS AND CONDITIONS of TML, they gifted me TATA INDICA REMOTE CENTRAL LOCK .

Oh common Tata Motors..TATA INDICA REMOTE CENTRAL LOCK on Tata Safari.????

Some of TML sales guys were decent enough, some were extremely rude (do whatever you want to i wont budge kinda guys you know), to a point where I said, please keep the gift to yourself, I don't need it. To some who said, take it else it will take months again to redeem .

What a waste these are.

I paid approx 800/- more to have a decent JVC MP3 HU.

But this incident has really ticked me off now.

I was luckier. We got a Tata Indicom mobile phone (no sim card) which I have now given to my daughter.

We got the gift immediately - no waiting. But then, it were the initial days of the Safari and they wanted to sell...

BTW the 1st prize was a 4*4 Vx. As usual I was unlucky. I never win any lottery.

Fabrication is complete with extremely flexible materials used.

Apparently http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post1586488 didnt work out as expected as the bumper would start sagging owing to vibrations. So went back to old school thought of getting L types of brackets to support the HELLA's.
The metal used is aluminium alloy, light weight and extremely flexible while being durable.

It costed approx 800/- for a simple work but was done with extremely simple idea & professional way. The lights get the required support. I dont get to spend $$$ on those metal nudge guards or anything like that. Though if you look closely its a little crude, as you would see in the pics. The crudeness would be covered by the bumper.

Now the lights dont shake that much and gets to do its job with less flicker due to vibs

Fitting & Fabrication 1300/- in total.

In the second pic, the big holes are the holes through which the bumber is attached to the chassis via a Big Nut.

shabahmad: the fabrication is complete and is custom made as you may see it from the pics. You would want to visit any vehicle fabricators in your vicinity.. there is one near corianthans club, i am not able to recall his name and number.

Ingenious.

Hope the Hellas have remained portable? Would you be able to detach and attach when needed?

Cheers,
-BJ

Looks good. Did you drill holes in bumper to take out the bracket ?

Could not identify from where the metal bracket is coming out. A close up shot would be appreciated.

Where near Corinthians club exactly ?

Is taking the bumper out a cumbersome process ? Is it fixed via these 2 nuts / bolts only ?

As AmitK26 said a close-up pic would help us. ...
