This would be one of the most exhaustive, detailed, accurate and unbiased review i had read in team-bhp. Even the reviews and detailed reports about Xylo in auto magazines are not as remarkable as your review. Hats of to you Mr.Vinay. You have almost convinced me to buy a xylo. Though i know what to expect after i went through your review i am keeping my fingers crossed till i test drive the vehicle.

Pround owner of Xylo

After reading innumerable posts and articles I finally bought Xylo E4 during March, 2009 and I am really happy with my decision.

I have recently completed 11,000 kms. and through with the 2nd free service.

No doubt we can never compare Xylo with Innova in terms of Engine refinement, road control and balance I am still happy with my decision as Xylo is really VFM.

Predominantly I use Xylo for long drives. I had been to Mahabaleshwar, Goa, Jabalpur and other places within the radius of around 300 kms. from Hyderabad. Myself and all the co-passengers who travelled with me enjoyed the drive.

I am unable to upload the pictures at this point as the permissible limit for .jpg images is only 1 mb. I shall do it shortly.

My Xylo Pictures

I am uploading few pictures of my Xylo. I've cropped the picture and ensured it's less than 1 MB.

Thanks.. This weekend I have travelled another 1000 kms. and now crossed 12000 kms.

The third and final free service is due this month (12 months or 15000 kms - whichever is earlier)

As of now there is no problem with the service. I had been to the showroom only twice. Not sure whether they have rotated the tyres, have to find out during the next visit.

The staff at the showroom service section are advising me to go for extended warranty by paying more than Rs. 10,000/-. Didn't opt for it.

I am not starting the engine of my Xylo for more than 20 days in a month. Will it lead to some problem?

For city drive I am using my Indica. Need to visit lots of places in city - narrow lanes, parking - may not suit Xylo.

even if you are using the indica for daily purposes i think you should just switch the engine on once in 3 days so as to keep the battery in full form and also it will keep the engine lubricated with fuel
Is your third service done??

Gvk, don't worry; my Scorpio suffers the same fate! No problems yet! Going to be four soon.

Yes, just crank it up once in a few days, and all should be right.

Hmm I'm not a great fan of the Xylo, but the black colour seems to be pretty good.

Yes, think you are right. Will try to do it.

Third service is still due.. I have travelled today around 450 kms.( Hyderabad - Warangal - Narsampet and back) The milometer reads around 12500 kms. 18th March is the due date for 3rd service.

One has to strive hard to keep the black car dust free.. Very difficult to keep it clean.

Did you change the battery during these four years?
