I think that the coolant is always flowing thru the valve. It's the valve that regulates how much the air mixes ? (to give the desired mix).

Time to bid Adieu ?

4.5 years, and 43,500 km now. It's been almost 3 months sine the Storme came home. Being the only one at home who drives, I cannot justify having two vehicles - esp two diesels. Or a sedan and a SUV. Hence planning to let go of the Ikon now. I know I have had both the Sumo & the Ikon for quite some time. But at that time, I was using the Sumo, and the Ikon was meant to replace the Marina that was used by folks at home at that time. Times have changed, and I think the Storme is more than sufficient for my requirements.

************

On another note - I had gotten so used to the Ikon's seating. Though I had known it to be comfortable for both front & rear seats, I had not realised how good it was till I took rides in an Accent. Somehow, I found the Accent's seating to be really off the mark.

re: Duratorq-in' with Josh: Ford Ikon TDCi * 4 years 7 months/43,941 km & Letting Go :(

4 years, 7 months
43941 km

The Ikon goes to it's new home. Wasnt easy letting go, even upto the previous evening - day before delivery.

Wishing the new owner & his family a long happy ownership of the car.

On multiple occasions I had come close to letting the Fiesta go, and can imagine how you felt. In some ways its good that you let the Ikon go. At least, it will get some running.

Met the new owner yesterday to handover the CC & the RC card. Said he got a FE of 22 kmpl ! No secret on doing that though - just need to stick to 90-100 kmph.

He's got the servicing done at Lathangi. A little more than 4k, which included a clutch/brake fluid change & an extra item that was requested.

I missed this update, Parwath. So, looks like both the old steeds have gone, for new blood into the stable. Hope you enjoy the truck even more now!

So, is it going to be just one car at home now?
