Thanks for your wishes guys!
I am currently watching the service light every time I drive. I am hoping that it does not come again! This has been one bumpy ride, hope sailing is smooth from now on!

LOL, Tanveer, remember what Jim Morrison said:
Ah keep your eyes on the road, Your hands upon the wheel. Keep your eyes on the road. Your hands upon the wheel. ...

Enjoy your upcoming trip!

Hey Tanveer,
Must be feeling much relieved. Hope the problems are shunted out for good now. Just wondering what you meant by '80 in second gear'? Can u do such speeds in Safari?

Good to know that the horse gallops again, so the return line from the pressure release valve was the culprit, smsrini, you have a hint.

I never do that, but apparently thats top speed in second gear. The workshop people did that to test the issue

Nope, they are not sure. Lot of stuff like common rail was changed. They suspect it but not sure. Even the hose pipe from Solenoid Valve to EGR was changed.

The EGR hose pipe will contain only exhaust gases as EGR handles only that, it has no relation to the Fuel system.

Perhaps they ran out of options but definitely one of the common rail components between the valve pipes and the rail.

But all's well that ends well, enjoy!.

So here is the list of parts which were changed
1. Common Rail
2. Fuel Pump
3. Injectors
4. High Pressure lines
5. Fuel recirculation line
6. EGR rubber hose thingy(its some 35rs or something)
7. Some misc lines, and pipes(basically everything related to common rail)
Tanveer, Also to note that you have got all new above parts on your ride, which should make it "brand new" car from some vital parts perspective.
Good show!!

Is that a minor fault? i wonder if Tata will recall the part and have it changed in all 2008 models of the same batch?..doubt that.

In any case it seems that they really went all out to try and address the problem and due must be given for that..

All one can say now is CONGRATULATIONS Tanveer and my sincere wishes that your steed has a trouble free life.

I must commend you for showing exemplary patience in dealing with the problem and not losing your cool with the workshop or TML as that would not have resolved anything.

Looking forward to some fantastic pictures of your Sangla trip!

You can answer that yourself by answering the following:

- Does it cause the engine to stall ?
- Does it cause any performance related problems ?
- Does it hamper any kind of engine functions ?

The issue was that the sensor was detecting some anomaly and therefore the service light. Imagine if this had happened in the earlier Diesel engines(no sensors), noone would even know.

So very true, Dadu!
And that is one reason why taxi drivers, particularly in the remoter areas of the hills, did not take to these CRDe vehicles!
Sometimes, ignorance is bliss! And the car keeps chugging along! Nothing more is required.
